Here is another story for you all. Chapters may be short at times. Updates may be slow at times. This story will only have 21 chapters. I will not change how I write my stories. Megan laid there in bed after the beating she got from her boyfriend. He left taking her phone and car keys so she couldn’t leave. Things started out great between them and after their son was born, she thought it would only get better but instead things got worse as he became abusive and territorial with her and their son. She couldn’t talk to other guys and she couldn’t even talk to her own brother and his wife. She only was allowed to talk to him under Zach’s watch. He did that so she couldn’t tell him what was going on. Sawyer would ask what happened to his mom and Zach would make excuses that Mommy was clumsy and ran into doors or fell down the stairs or anything to cover the truth. He said he would be gone for the night and that she better be there when he came home. She heard the doorbell ring. She heard Sawyer running down the stairs and heard him squeal. She knew he only did that if he knew the person at the door. She heard footsteps.
“Mommy! Uncle Matty is here!” Sawyer said. They came into the bedroom and her brother saw her and came running to her.
“Oh god sis!” Matt said.
“I’m fine really, just clumsy,” Megan said.
“Clumsy my ass, you look like you went rounds with Tyson,” Matt said.
“Wow bro thanks,” Megan said.
“Who did this!” Matt said.
“No one,” Megan said.
“Megan!” Matt said.
“Matt please, not now, just help me pack up so I can leave, Zach is gone for the night so I want to be out of here,” Megan said.
“He did this to you didn’t he,” Matt said.
“Matt please just help me pack,” Megan said.
“I’ll help Sawyer,” Callie said. She took Sawyer to his room. Megan got up and packed her stuff. Matt helped.
“Meg please,” Matt said.
“Yes it was him but it’s his word against mine and you can’t do anything because it’s your sister who is the victim and it will not look good,” Megans aid.
“I can have Greg do it,” Matt said.
“He will lie like he does to Sawyer, he tells him he’s got a clumsy mother who walks into doors and falls down the stairs,” Megan said.
“He can’t get away with this,” Matt said.
“Let’s get out of here please, I need to disappear because he said if I left, things would be worse,” Megan said. Matt took pictures of her and sent them to his partner.
“I sent pictures to Greg,” Matt said.
“Bro,” Megan said.
“No sis, he can’t get away with this,” Matt said.
“Hank will make sure nothing happens to his son,” Megan said.
“Hank won’t be a problem, my boss just arrested him for tax evasion so he can’t help him,” Matt said. They got everything and loaded it into Matt’s SUV. Megan got the car seat out of her car and put it in his and got Sawyer in and they headed away from the house.
“I need to leave town and go where he can’t find me,” Megan said.
“I know a place sis,” Matt said.
“My cousins have a ranch in Wyoming, you can hide there,” Callie said.
“Your dad or mom’s side?” Megan asked.
“My mom’s sister and her sons,” Callie said.
“Let’s get you to the airport and baby call them,” Matt said.
“Already am babe,” Callie said.
“What are their names?” Megan asked.
“My aunt’s name is Beth, my uncle passed away a couple years ago so my cousins, Dylan, Danny, and Dalton are running the ranch, Danny has a wife named Faith, and Dalton has a wife named Nicole, Dylan is still single, he just broke up with his last girlfriend a month ago,” Callie said.
“Mommy are we going on a trip?” Sawyer asked.
“Yes baby we are,” Megan said.
“Is Daddy coming?” Sawyer asked.
“No baby he’s got work,” Megan said.
“I love you Mommy,” Sawyer said.
“I love you too baby,” Megan said. They got to the airport and Matt paid cash for two tickets to Cheyenne. They got the car seat and bags checked through.
“Okay Beth said she will have Dylan come pick you guys up at the airport, he just left so he will get there as the plane arrives there, Danny is with him, Faith and Nicole are getting rooms ready for you and Sawyer,” Callie said.
“Thanks sis,” Megan said.
“As soon as it’s safe, we will come visit sis,” Callie said. She gently hugged her and Sawyer. Matt hugged her and Sawyer.
“I will take care of things here sis,” Matt said.
“Please be careful, you guys and Sawyer are all the family I have,” Megan said.
“Same goes for me sis, love you,” Matt said. She buried her face in his chest as he hugged her.
“Love you bro,” Megan said. She took Sawyer’s hand and they got on the plane and it took off.
