Author's Note

The Ying to my Yang, Nevaeh -

V, where do I even begin? Our friendship has been one wild, chaotic, and totally hilarious ride from the start. I’m pretty sure the dictionary definition of your name should be “SURPRISE!" Cause that's how I felt when I first met you.

We’ve been through sometimes together - like the performance during choir (nearly passed out for me being a "scary willy"). Or that time we tried to figure out if we could survive a spider invasion in grounded... I regret nothing except subjecting myself to nightmares after that night lol. But it's an experience I won't forget.

When I was feeling uninspired and ready to toss this manuscript into the fiery sparks into the campfire where I burned my math notes by accident, you were there with your goofy humor and your charming wit to put the wind back in my sails. You reminded me why I loved writing in the first place - to create stories even half as entertaining as our own epically chaotic adventures.

This book exists because you helped me power through with your hilarious pep talks, and the constant supply of reels you sent of birria tacos that fueled my anger (loved them anyway though :). For that, I’m forever grateful to have you as a close friend, it makes my “hell on earth” the best way possible.

Love your tons (like, bakery weights levels of tons)

By the way, happy belated birthday

Sincerely Gideon Liciaga
