My family, commonly called the “Lombardi,” is regarded as the most distinguished. We are esteemed for our strength, skill, prosperity, family ties, and leadership skills. However, it was certainly not in this manner from the beginning. The legendary warrior “Empress Dafny,” also known as the founder of Lombardi, engaged with Gustav in multiple battles. Ultimately, she freed the land of Elmir from their grasp and claimed the crown.
She was an honest and just matriarch who cared for her people affectionately. She is the only person responsible for Lombardi’s current dominance over the world. However, as Lombardi rose progressively, it led to the creation of even more enemies. In the Imperial Year 196, an unforeseen accident trapped the 37th Emperor and the Crown Prince 50 feet beneath an avalanche during their inspection of the North.
This resulted in a persistent sense of worry across the empire, raising the question of who would ascend to the throne and become the 38th Emperor. As the Crown Prince passed away, his only son, His Highness Prince Alexios, was supposedly the rightful heir to the throne. However, the Duke of the South and the third son of the deceased Emperor started a rebellion.
The other two uncles of Prince Alexios, the youngest son and the second son, His Highness Prince Edward, joined forces to protect the rightful successor. Soon, this movement was comprehended as “The Great Battle of Lombardis.” The young prince eventually won the war, and the rebel and his family were exiled to Witchelm, Berk.
However, because he was lower in the line of succession, he could not receive the proper education that a successor usually would. Hence, his second uncle, Prince Edward, decided to arrange Prince Alexios’s marriage with his one and only daughter, Princess Maria. She was recognized as the flower of society at the time and was known to be very obedient to her parents.
Consequently, they got married in the Imperial Year 197. Prince Edward assumed the throne to secure it until the couple had their children grown up. This impacted the future of Lombardi quite positively, as Prince Edward was rather a distinguished personality himself.
Lombardi was the high talk of society due to the “Daughter Curse.” Every direct line of descendants was filled with boys, and not a girl was born. Hence, the whole Continent of Elsum had their ears and eyes sharpened up for the news of a daughter from the newlywed couple.
A year went by peacefully, and a baby boy was born. Well, should I say I was born? Anyway, I was named Jayden by my maternal grandfather, The Great Emperor, His Majesty Edward. After I turned one in the Imperial Year 199, my mana was tested. Mana is the spiritual life force that fuels magical energy. I was declared to have an immense amount of magic power, Super Strength. Many were excited for me to grow up and manifest my Regalia, a divine creature possessed by one who has magical powers.
So, this is the story of my clan, The Remarkable Lombardi, up to now.
