Chapter 1: Prologue: Vile Academy at Night, and a Match at the Sydney Opera House.

Under the clear starry night sky at Vile Academy, the entire campus lay shrouded in peaceful slumber. But amidst the somnolent scene, one student defied the embrace of sleep. A young woman, in the throes of her late teens, stood elegantly at 5'7 with cascading mahogany locks and entrancing hazel eyes. Clad in the distinguished Vile Academy Uniform, she hailed from the bustling city of New York. Cradled in her arms was a precious bundle swathed in a cozy pink baby blanket. With silent determination, she treaded the path toward the boat dock, casting cautious glances over her shoulder to ensure solitude. After what seemed like an eternity, she finally reached her destination, relief washing over her as she spotted a figure patiently waiting on the dock. The waiting figure, another woman, bore stylish black curls and rich dark skin, standing poised beside a motorboat. Drawing nearer, the two women engaged in whispered conversation. The mahogany-haired woman sought permission from her companion to bid a final farewell. A subtle nod of approval from the dark-skinned woman sets the stage. Stepping back a few paces, the young woman gently unfurled the plush pink blanket, revealing a slumbering baby girl nestled within. Overwhelmed with emotion, the mother gazed lovingly at her infant daughter, cradling her tenderly as tears traced down her cheeks. Placing an envelope with a heartfelt letter beside her child, a sudden touch upon her shoulder broke the moment. Looking up, the baby girl's mother met the gaze of her companion.

"I'm sorry, but it's time," the dark-skinned woman said to the baby's mom.

The mother of the baby girl nodded in agreement and tenderly wrapped her newborn daughter in a soft, baby pink blanket. With a sense of trust in her eyes, she passed her slumbering baby girl into the arms of the dark-skinned woman. Their eyes met, and in that unspoken connection, the dark-skinned woman assured the baby's mother that she was making the right decision. She vowed to provide a loving home for the baby, promising to keep her parentage a closely guarded secret. A smile of relief spread across the baby girl's mother's face as she followed the dark-skinned woman towards the waiting motorboat. The motorboat's driver, cradling the sleeping baby, stood ready as the dark-skinned woman boarded the boat, still holding the precious cargo. The engine hummed to life, propelling the boat away from the dock. The baby's mother stood on the dock's edge, watching as the boat glided further and further away from Vile Academy. Her heart fluttered with hope, trusting that her daughter would find safety and love in her new home. Suddenly, the sound of footsteps interrupted her thoughts. She turned to see a figure approaching, their eyes meeting in a moment of silent understanding.

As the baby's mother gazed at the person before her, she delivered a haunting message with a sense of finality and sorrow, 'You're too late, you're too late. She's gone, she's gone... You'll never see her again. She's gone, she's gone; she's somewhere where you'll never find her.'

A tense moment unfolded as the individual brandished a handgun and aimed it menacingly at the mother of the innocent baby. In a heartbeat, a deafening gunshot shattered the air, and then all was still. The figure stood ominously at the water's edge, gazing down at the lifeless form of the baby's mother as she floated adrift in the water, carried away by the ebb and flow of the ocean tide. The perpetrator had pulled the trigger, and the woman's life had come to a tragic end. The individual began to pivot slowly on their heels and proceeded to stroll off.

As the sun rose over the iconic Sydney Opera House, a bustling morning unfolded. In one of the modern apartments nearby, a young woman named Dianna McGinnis lay asleep in her cozy bedroom until the shrill sound of her alarm clock pierced the air, prompting a groggy response from beneath the covers. With a sleepy sigh, she reached out to silence the alarm, revealing a 26-year-old woman with shoulder-length mahogany brown hair and light hazel eyes. After stretching and yawning, Dianna rose from her bed, standing at 5'7 tall. Dressed in a comfortable sleeping attire, she made her way to the bathroom, disappearing behind the closed door to start her day.

Dianna had spent her entire life in Sydney, Australia, though her childhood had been tumultuous. Abandoned by her parents at a young age, she had navigated through a series of foster homes and unknown origins. Desperate to uncover the mystery of her past, Dianna's search for answers led her down a troubled path. By the age of thirteen, she had escaped from her last foster home, surviving on the streets through a mix of theft and resourcefulness. Despite her troubled past, a chance encounter changed the course of Dianna's life - a friendship with Rachel Landon, a girl from a caring family who ran the local YMCA and Homeless Shelter.

Now, Dianna had carved out her place in the world, living independently in her own apartment. Both her and Rachel worked at the Sydney Opera House, with Dianna serving as the Executive Producer, overseeing the grand sets and the positioning of actors and actresses on stage. Meanwhile, Rachel flourished as the Head Make-up Artist, leading a team responsible for the flawless appearance of the performers. Together, these two women brought their unique skills and shared history to create magic within the walls of the magnificent Opera House.

Dianna dressed herself and sauntered out of her bedroom, strolling down the hallway and arriving in the living room. There, she laid eyes on her beloved potted Cactus Plant named Molly. Dianna approached the green beauty with admiration, reaching for a bottle of Mist Spray nearby.

Dianna greeted her potted Cactus Plant, Molly, with a warm hello and inquired, "How's my Baby Girl Doing?" However, much to Dianna's disappointment, Molly remained silent and didn't answer her.

Dianna noticed the serenity in the silence and decided to offer her potted Cactus Plant a refreshing drink of Mist Water, gently squirting the water from the bottle onto its delicate green leaves.

Dianna calmly placed her Mist water bottle on the table, then slipped into her comfortable bootie socks and shoes. As she gathered her essentials - smartphone, purse, and bicycle helmet - she gracefully donned her protective gear of elbow and knee pads. With everything in place, she glided out of her apartment, locking the door securely behind her. Navigating through the hallway towards the elevator, she confidently pressed the button on the keypad. The elevator swiftly opened its doors, ushering her in. Selecting the desired floor on the keypad inside, the elevator descended smoothly. After an hour, she emerged from her apartment complex, where her trusted 10-speed bicycle awaited her on the rack. With her purse safely stashing her smartphone, she began pedaling away into the bustling city.

A gentle breeze caressed Dianna as she made her way to a charming local Starbucks restaurant. She ordered a velvety cappuccino and a delectable scone, savoring each bite and sip. With her cravings satisfied, she hopped back on her sleek 10-speed bicycle, pedaling gracefully towards the iconic Sydney Opera House.

Around an hour later, Dianna arrived at the majestic Sydney Opera House. She gracefully maneuvered her bicycle to the rear of the iconic landmark, securing it in the bicycle rack. Retrieving her essentials, she grabbed her purse and smartphone. With a swift motion, she powered on her smartphone and launched the Sydney Opera House App. A satisfied smile played on her lips as she reviewed the ticket sales. Clicking it off, she carefully stowed it back in her purse before stepping into the grand foyer. Dianna promptly clocked in and commenced her morning meeting backstage. Following the conclusion of the meeting, Dianna began her search for her dearest friend, Rachel Landon. Spotting Rachel engrossed in a lively conversation with a charming gentleman, Dianna made her way towards them. As she approached, Dianna discreetly cleared her throat to capture their attention.

While Rachel gazed at the Gentleman, she noticed that they were also gazing back at her.

With a warm smile, Rachel turned to Dianna and said, 'Hi, Dianna! Allow me to introduce you to Graham Calloway.' Gesturing towards the well-dressed gentleman, Rachel continued, 'This is our Executive Producer, Dianna McGinnis.'

Dianna greeted Graham with a warm 'Hello' as their eyes met.

Graham looked at Dianna and greeted her, "Hi Dianna, Rachel filled me in on all the wonderful things about you. Please, call me Gray; that's what everyone calls me."

"Oh, Ok Gray, it's nice to meet you", Dianna said as she was looking at Graham.

Well, I'd better get going and see the makeup artists doing their job," Rachel said as she started walking away from them.

As Dianna and Graham were left alone, a charged silence enveloped them. Their eyes locked in a wordless exchange, until Graham finally broke the stillness between them.

So, what's this play that we're doing?" Graham asked as he was looking at Dianna.

"It's called The Good Lord's Daughter. It's about a beautiful young farmgirl who learned from her mother on her deathbed that she was the daughter of a rich lord. She goes to the mansion to meet him and falls in love with a handsome young lord. She also makes some friends until she is arranged to be married by a corrupt duke. It's up to her, the handsome young lord, and their friends to find a way to get her out of the arranged marriage so that she and the handsome young lord can be married. There's a lot of action, suspense, intrigue, and some romance too," Dianna answered.

"Wow, that's amazing", Graham said.

Suddenly, the Director, Darren Stone, paced back and forth with a hint of worry clouding his brow. However, Dianna and Graham took it upon themselves to unravel the mystery and discover the cause of his concern.

Director Stone, is something wrong? Did something happen? Dianna asked.

I just got off the phone with our lead actress Violet Larabee's agent. He told me that Violet had fallen off the ladder and twisted her ankle. She was climbing up the ladder to water her hanging potted plant when she fell backwards, landed on the floor, and twisted her ankle. She was taken to the hospital, and they're going to keep her for about 5 to 7 weeks, Director Stone answered.

"Oh No", Dianna said.

"That's Awful", Graham said.

"Now I'm going have to Cancel the Play", Director Stone said.

"No, Don't Cancel the Play, It has to go on, I'll take the part as the Lord's Daughter Lady Rielly, I've been working with Violet Larabee, and Practicing her lines, I know every single one of them all by heart, so I'll do it", Dianna replied with a determined voice.

"Oh Good, I'll let everyone know that there's been a change of plans, Thanks Dianna, you're a Lifesaver", Director Stone said as he started walking off.

"Wow, Dianna, you're just amazing", Graham said with a big smile on his face.

"Oh, Thank You Gray, well I better get going and tell Rachel the good news", Dianna replied as she started walking away.

Suddenly she felt someone grabbing her wrist, she looked and was surprised to see Graham, he was looking at her with a loving smile on his face.

"Just a moment, I have to give you something", Graham said as he moved closer to her.

Graham started kissing Dianna on her cheek on the side of her face, Dianna was shocked about it when Graham pulled away from her and was still looking at her with love in his eyes.

"It's for good luck", Graham said as he was looking at her.

"Oh, Thank You Gray", Dianna replied as she started walking away from him.

Their hands started moving away from each-other, Graham stood and watched Dianna walking away from him, He had heard from people that there were a lot of Crimes going on around Sydney, and people have been talking about being saved by a Person dressed up as a Cheetah, even the police were baffled, every time they would arrive, the person would always leave a calling card, like a Cheetah Paw Print spray-painted on a wall of a building, or Pictures of a Cheetah, either running, or standing, or even hunting. Graham started wondering if Dianna had something to do with it, he started heading back to the electrical area of the Sydney Opera House.

About an hour later Rehearsal was over, and everyone was getting ready to leave, Graham saw Dianna and was walking over toward her, until she saw him.

"Dianna, I was wondering if you would like to have dinner with me, I know this great cafe that has the best sandwiches?", Graham asked as he was looking at her.

"Oh, I would love too, Gray", Dianna answered as she was looking at him.

"Great, how about if you meet me at 5:00?", Graham asked as he was looking at her.

"Oh, that'll be Fine", Dianna answered.

An hour had passed since Dianna and Graham departed the Sydney Opera House. Dianna returned to her apartment, preparing eagerly for her inaugural date with Graham. Meanwhile, Graham was also in his abode, meticulously getting ready for his rendezvous with Dianna. Subsequently, Graham began his journey towards the cafe. However, as he made his way, the tranquility of the evening was interrupted by a sudden ruckus emanating from the nearby alley. Intrigued, he cautiously approached, eyes scanning the dim passageway. A sight both startling and gripping awaited him – a figure impeccably dressed in a Cheetah Costume engaging in a tussle with a mugger. Graham stood transfixed, witnessing the agile moves of the person in the costume effortlessly evading the mugger's blows. The swift turn of events culminated in a decisive punch from the costumed figure, sending the mugger reeling to the ground in agony. A swift follow-up kick sealed the victory. Graham, captivated by this unexpected spectacle, hailed the victorious persona in the Cheetah Costume. However, their mutual gaze was interrupted by the distant wail of a police siren, shattering the silence. With the arrival of the police car, the costumed individual vanished into the night. After providing his eyewitness account to a police officer, Graham resumed his stroll towards the Cafe.

An hour drifted by before Graham reached the Cafe, settling into a chair at a quaint table. Eagerly anticipating Dianna's arrival, time seemed to stretch on endlessly. Another hour slipped away before Dianna finally appeared at the Cafe, gracefully making her way over to Graham. His eyes were fixed upon her with a tender gaze, unbeknownst to him, he had fallen under the spell of love. Despite his feelings, he couldn't muster the courage to confess. He resolved to be patient and reveal his emotions in due time, hoping fervently that she reciprocated his affection.

"Hi, I'm sorry I'm late, I had to take care of some business at my apartment", Dianna said as she sat down in a chair at the table.

"Oh, that's all right", Graham replied he decided not to tell her about what he had seen.

An hour later, they were savoring a refreshing Cold-Cut Sandwich, sweet Fruit, and crisp Apple Juice. Engaged in animated conversation, they were delving deeper into each other's lives. Soon, they strolled through the park, fingers intertwined, soaking in the beauty of the surroundings. As night fell, they returned to their separate apartments to prepare for the eagerly anticipated play. The air was buzzing with excitement as the curtains rose, unveiling a captivating performance. The audience was spellbound by Dianna McGinnis, showering her with a thunderous standing ovation. From that moment on, she became a staple in every theater production, renowned as the beloved Sutherin Sweetheart eagerly awaiting her lover's return from wartime. Her talent shone brightest when she portrayed the iconic Juliet in William Shakespeare's timeless tale of love. She then embodied a compassionate Nun safeguarding Jewish orphans from the ravages of war. Amidst their busy schedules, Dianna and Graham always found time for romantic rendezvous, eagerly awaiting their upcoming one-year anniversary. In anticipation, Graham invited Dianna to his apartment for an intimate and enchanting Romantic Dinner, an invitation she joyfully accepted.
