Gotta love earringed reprobates!

"The nether regions of those who read A Marriage Most Inconvenient heaved a collective sigh of anticipation when this author announced Raphael St Alexander's book, I'm sure (well, mine did). Rafe is a soldier, spy and libertine who has only two weaknesses where his heart is concerned (though he would argue that he has no heart at all) - his little ward Jane and her overprotective aunt-turned-mum Sylvie Heartwood (see - that's one heart he can't escape anyway, eheheh). The first blossoming of their love had me smiling the whole time I was reading these parts, and their witty banter had me occasionally giggling and curling my toes at what was to come next. The mystery wasn't overbearing or taking me away from the story, on the contrary, it showed just how much Rafe cared for the welfare of those he loved. And don't get me started on the smut - it was an example of consent and respect that made me long for such things to happen in my life, and I think I speak for everyone here when I say that we could definitely use more emotional intelligence among the folk out in the wild (especially when it comes to intimacy). That said, this was a great 5/5 read, as I finished it on Wattpad."
