Chapter 1
Before the party
Britnee was in the library. She was writing her presentation. Britnee was a 20 year old black woman, her skin tone was close to dark but not exactly dark. She had dark auburn hair with red eyes and a petite body that stopped at the height of 5'9. She was taller than Honey and close to Patrick's height. She was studying architecture. She was to do a blueprint. Her eyes came up when she heard the library door open a few voices being able to be heard. "Oh my gosh, I can't wait for this party. I mean it'll be amazing." "Yes." "Shush please there are people studying." The girl rolled her eyes who Britnee knew to be Patrick's current girlfriend also known as Maria. She was one of the old cheerleaders at the old school Patrick went to and played at before he went to college. "Sorry Ms. Barks." The librarian just stared Maria not giving into her nonsense. "Do you need help with anything?" Patrick pulled Maria to the side. "Do you have anything on architecture?" "Uh yes. Um. Keep straight and go down, turn left, and it'll be a shelf full of them." He nodded. Maria followed him. Britnee finally took her eyes off them and went back to her writing. Her phone vibrated from a text from Honey.
Honey: Me and Scott are going to a party. Comin?
Britnee: The adress and I'll be there.
