Chapter 1

                     The Night Visitor

The Night Visitor Isabella White had always felt there was something different about her little cottage in Blackwood.

The villagers warned her about the forest at night, how the trees seemed to watch, and how the wind whispered secrets that no one should hear. But Isabella was never one to fear the unknown.

One night, as the clock struck midnight, Isabella was jolted awake by a strange, cold breeze. The air in her bedroom thickened, and the soft glow of her bedside candle flickered, casting eerie shadows on the walls. She sat up, heart pounding, and that's when she saw him.A man stood at the foot of her bed, his form slightly translucent, but his presence undeniable.

He was strikingly handsome, with deep, intense eyes that seemed to pull her in. Isabella’s breath caught in her throat as she felt a rush of emotions—fear, curiosity, and an unexpected desire."Who are you?" she whispered, barely able to speak. The man smiled, a sad, gentle smile that sent chills down her spine.

"I am a memory," he said, his voice soft yet resonant. "A ghost of what once was… and what could be."Before Isabella could respond, he moved closer, his hand reaching out to her. Despite the coldness of his touch, Isabella felt a warmth spread through her, a connection that defied logic.

She should have been terrified, but instead, she felt an inexplicable pull towards him.Without another word, the ghost leaned down, his lips brushing against hers. The kiss was unlike anything Isabella had ever experienced—cold yet electric, fleeting yet eternal. She could feel the world around her fading, leaving only the two of them in that moment. When she woke the next morning, the ghost was gone, leaving behind only the lingering sensation of his touch and a mysterious sense of fulfillment. Days passed, and Isabella couldn’t shake the feeling that something profound had happened. And then, she started to notice the signs—morning sickness, fatigue, and a strange, glowing aura that surrounded her.

Isabella was pregnant. Her heart raced with a mix of excitement and fear. How could this be possible? She hadn’t been with anyone since her husband’s death. But deep down, she knew the truth. The ghost’s visit had left more than just a memory. As weeks passed, Isabella’s belly grew, and with it, so did the whispers around the village. People speculated about secret lovers and scandals, but no one knew the truth—that Isabella was carrying the child of a ghost.

The night before her son was born, Isabella dreamed of the ghost again. He came to her, his eyes filled with a love and sadness that broke her heart. "He will be special," the ghost said, his voice echoing in her mind. "He will bridge our worlds, but he will also face dangers you cannot imagine. Protect him, Isabella. Love him, as I have loved you."When she awoke, she was in labor. The birth was swift, almost surreal, and when she held her son in her arms for the first time, she knew he was different. His eyes, the same deep blue as his father’s, sparkled with an otherworldly light.

Isabella smiled through her tears, knowing that her life had just taken a turn into the unknown. Her son was not just any child—he was the son of a ghost, a bridge between two worlds. What that meant, she didn’t know.

But as she looked into his eyes, she knew one thing for certain: their story was just beginning.
