AUTHOR'S NOTE:

This is my first time that I'm writing a novella, which was a shorter form of novel. It might be exhausting since I'm still writing three other novels which was Nueva Barcelona, Battle Symphony and The Hillman Report.

This novella dealt with supernatural beings, some things that are never explained even ny science itself. I'm ironically didn't read any of the Stephen King novels but I know some of the well known titles he had made such as Carrie, The Shining, The Dead Zone and Firestarter.

The premise itself was based on an obscure and largely forgotten Japanese drama titled Kinjirareta Mariko (禁じられたマリコ) which translates to The Forbidden Mariko that stars idol Yukiko Okada as the titular role. I guess a lot of young Japanese men were never heard of this series but for some people who grew up in the 1980s who is also a Yukko fan, they have heard of it.

Nobody is mentioning that series even outside Japan since, as I said, it was obscure and forgotten even by TBS itself who is the TV network behind it, co-produced by Toho (the same Toho that brought us Godzilla). Also, I think they had no plans to remaster it in the future or add some subtitles for non-Japanese speakers around and hey, I've got the inspiration behind this novella.

Hope you guys enjoy my novella!
