The Crow's curse

Some say the world will end in fire.

Others believe ice will be the finale to mortal lives.

Regardless of the end, once our eyelids shut to the fate that awaits us, ever-present darkness will encase us.

There will be nothing bar all-consuming blackness, devouring everything in its path, all that is good and bad and merciful.

There will be no one left to tell tales of what we were or what we could have become; nothing but the Tartarean hell of shadows and smoke.

All will bear witness to the approaching waves of nothingness.

All will fall to their knees and cry to the Gods for mercy.

All will hear the answer that will be the silence. Because we've flown too close to the sun, like Icarus. Human greed has exceeded constraints, always wanting more, never satisfied, easily tempted.

Human vices have outclassed itself, villainy running amok behind the mask of righteousness, morality and ethics reduced to optional choice.

Hence, when retribution befalls, all that will be left is an endless void.

That void will be the beginning of an endless end.

And that end will commence when darkness meets light.

When Darcy meets Lucian.

Remember, darkness does not always equate to evil, just as light does not always bring good.
