Chapter 1

Weird people came into our house today

They said me and my younger sister, Maggie have to go with them

Maggie didn’t want to

She clung to my leg the whole time we were being taken out

The weird people said they were taking us somewhere else

Somewhere Mom and Dad can’t find us

They said I was too young to deal with this and Maggie both

After all, I was only 8

The weird people, caretakers they were called

Those caretakers said we needed a new home

Apparently I wasn’t supposed to hear that

Whatever.

I held Maggie to my chest when these white and blue uniformed adults tried to take me away from her

I WON’T LET YOU I screamed

YOU CAN”T DO THIS I yelled

They don’t listen to me

These white and blue uniformed adults explained they were doctors and just wanted to help

I didn’t want that

After all, I was only 8

They pried me away from Maggie, saying she a got a new home

WIthout me.

I screamed and I screamed but those caretakers didn’t care

They said I needed therapy and serious help

MAGGIE I screamed

DON’T TAKE HER AWAY I yelled

The caretakers showed me Mike, a therapist

I didn’t like MIke

I liked Maggie

I wanted Maggie

After all, I was only 8

Looking back, from when I was 8

I had a miserable life

Maggie was taken from me at a young hand

It wasn’t fair.

But now I look at the quote and remember my life story.

After all, I was only 8

Cora: Decent story. Slightly predictable turn of events but I didn't think at this point it was a possible twist! I enjoy the stream of thought writing style this has, though some proofreading and punctuation could help a few spots. Recommend this for ebooks and forgive a few confusing errors. Enjoyable t...

Angela: A good story so far. I like Amora's character and the ideas such as, Aiden taken power over the pack and stripping Amora of her title. The drama around how Aiden tortured Amora carving his name into her skin was dramatic which I liked. Gave the story some substance. When Aiden captures Amora and beg...

Natasha Evermoor: This is really intriguing and emotionally intense. I like the way Joshua can truly change, or if Fleur is slowly getting pulled into something dangerous without realizing it. By the way, I love your book cover!
