Chapter 1

            Kieran

I hide behind a coffee shop as I watch the demon step out of the demon gate. He looks around and smiles darkly before stepping aside to allow a gorgeous woman to step out behind him. They made one hell of a pair, I'll tell you that.  Hell, the only way I could tell he was a demon was the horns on top of his head and the immense heat that radiated from that dark grin. He cloaked his horns, grabbed the woman's head and proceeded to walk down the streets of New York City.

I guess now is a good time for introductions. My name is Kieran.  I'm one of the Svartans, or one of the dark and charming Fae. I'm about five foot eleven, toned with long silvery hair and pale green eyes. My two brothers, Cadell and Draven, and I were sent Earthside from Svartalfheim to be a part of the Earthside division of the S.I.A, or the Svartalfheim intelligence agency. Cadell is sometimes seen as illegitimate because he was technically from an affair our father had. He's a half Svartan, half fae sorcerer who's powers misfire at times. Six feet of coffee colored skin, short silver hair like mine and violet colored eyes that betray his fae heritage. Lastly, there's Draven, the youngest, he's about six foot two, the same obsidian skin as me and dark blue eyes. He's also a full-blooded Svartan like me.

I rushed to my car in a hurry.  My heart was pounding like a hummingbird in my chest from the fear that man raised in me.  The woman though, I couldn't tell what she was, voluptuous and curvy, dressed in a fetish look. I'll have to ask Draven. He's more versed in the kinds of demonkin and should be able to tell me what we're about to be facing. That guy was a big motherfucker.  So its going to be bad, i think.
