What is your opinion?

A must have on every book shelf!

"There are books you enjoy, books you remember, and then there are books that somehow become personal. This was one of those books for me. Sebastian’s story moved me far more than I expected. Yes, there is danger, romance, fear, and the constant knowledge that simply loving the wrong person could have fatal consequences, but underneath all of that is something much more powerful: a deeply personal journey toward accepting who you are and finding the courage to stop hiding it. Watching Sebastian grow, question himself, struggle with fear, and slowly discover that who he is should never be something he has to be ashamed of was incredibly moving. There is something beautiful about a story that doesn't just tell you to be brave, but shows how difficult bravery can actually be when the consequences are real. And I think that is what makes this book so special. Stories like this can genuinely help people. They can make someone feel less alone. They can give someone the courage to come out, to stop apologizing for who they are, or simply to believe that one day they might be able to live openly and fearlessly. Be who you want to be. Love who you love. Be proud of yourself. Sebastian's journey stayed with me after I finished reading, and I think it will stay with me for a very long time. Without a doubt, this has become one of my favourite books of all time. Beautiful, heartbreaking, courageous, and incredibly moving. A story I am genuinely grateful to have read."

A Story to Bring You Up Out of the Darkness

"This was a wonderful story. A wonderful fairy tale we all needed as children growing up to know that there is nothing wrong with us. To say even if the dominant class is against us, it doesn't make us wrong and them right. The majority can be wrong. And it's stories like this one that can reach down into the darkness and remind you that it's ok to be happy today. "

A charming and heartwarming tale

"Squire is a delightful story of Sebastian finding love and growing through his romance with Prince Richard. There are great characters. Prince Richard is charming, his mom is sweet and no nonsense, and a certain mean girl is perfectly spiteful. The ending hits all the right notes."

Great writing and great story!

"Absolutely loved this story! So well-written as well. Some 'hot on the collar' scenes hehe I did cry at some scenes and felt bad for them. But all in all, fantastic story! Well done, Evan! "

A Journey of Reality As Much As It Is of Fantasy

"I will keep this reveiw shorter than I usually, not because the story is bad but quite the contrary - I have no words of feedback for it! This work of art beautifully explores the "what if" question that torchers so many closeted homosexual people, and it does so in a way that doesn't talk bad about any other preference while perfectly satirizing the thoughts of homophobes. The story is as realistically personal for the readers as it is for the characters, and yet so fantastical one can't help but dream of parts of it being in reality. The writing is eloquent and dedicated, and the grammar mistakes are so minor and so few I would challenge you to actively search for them - assuming the story doesn't pull you under in the first 3 paragraphs!"

Squire

"Before there was ‘Red, White and Royal Blue’ , there was Evan Binley and the poignant , heart pounding - occasionally hilarious - and completely rampant, Royal romance of ‘Squire’. This absolute gem of a heartfelt fairy tale is sure to please fans of excellent historical love stories. A immensely clever tale of lovers in a dangerous world, where same sex love is punishable by death, ‘Squire’ grips you by the collar and simply doesn’t let go. The pacing is excellent, and the immersion is easy to settle into, as this fine author keeps you turning page after page, clutching your chosen reading device as you go along, waiting to see what will happen next. Breathing often becomes difficult when you read a Binley book. ‘Squire’ should come with some sort of a disclaimer re: this, haha! What a very fine love story this is. 🥰 🩵✨💙 "

Squire

"I love your style of writing, it's refreshing. Based on the two books that I've already partially read, I can't wait to finish these and get into your next one. I wonder how Sebastien's going to work his feelings out for who I'm guessing is gonna be Richard. I really hope he doesn't end up dying if someone does find out about him being homosexual. Can't wait to read more!"

A Wonderfully Told Love Story

"Squire is a masterfully told love story set in the middle ages where forbidden love unfolds in a fairy tale of pure literary magic. The authors use of the written word is something to be marveled and admired. The plot gives the audience a chance to see true love in its purist form, reminiscent of scenes from Romeo and Juliet. This could easily be a play or a movie, it's that good! This had been recommended to me and now I'm recommending it to you. This story will capture your heart and open your mind back into our world with the hopes of openness, acceptance, and respect for all who seek, find and fall in love with whomever they choose to. Curtsy bow to Evan. Squire is beautifully told with a message that still needs to be heard. Simply Outstanding! 👏👏👏 "

An amazing book

"I read this book some time ago and I loved it. I think it was actually my first book in this genre and it opened up a whole new world for me, a new genre to explore. First of all, the book is very well-written with the main characters being so engaging that you can't help but root for them. Their connection is undeniable and their chemistry is amazing. It's such an amazing book that made me think but it also made me happy, enveloping me in this amazing heartwarming feeling that is rare to find. Another thing I loved about this book is that it made me feel so many different emotions which is a testament to the writer's amazing writing skills. The story captures your attention and you don't want to stop reading until you see what happens in the end. It's such a powerful story with such raw emotions that I was in awe throughout the book. You get attached to the main characters so much that you feel like you are part of their world, like you want to support their love story. All in all, a wonderfully written book worth the read. "

Squire

"This story is compelling, powerful, beautiful, sad, funny, spicy... It made me feel every emotion under the sun. I was gripped from the moment I started reading it and to know it is connected to the author's real life experience makes it even more powerful. It is a beautiful love story. It flows effortlessly and you get swept along for the ride. It is realistic and I would say set in a bygone era before cars with references to Lady's and a Squire. The grammar, punctuation and intellect of this author is off the charts. "

SQUIRE❤️

"Sebastian is a young servant working for Sir Tristan, he enjoys his job but Sebastian has a secret that nobody knows, or is allowed to know, because if Sebastian’s secret is found out this secret is punishable by death. One day Sebastian is invited to a luncheon with Prince Richard a good friend of Sir Tristan, the decision has to be made solely by Sebastian if to attend. Sebastian’s dilemma now is can he attend the luncheon and act as if he’s not attracted to Prince Richard, and keep his secret safe to himself so it isn’t revealed in front of Prince Richard and everyone around them. Squire is well written, interesting and a brilliant book, very enjoyable reading, I absolutely loved it. I highly recommend Squire"
