Chapter 1
She sat silently in the corner of their room her face with dried up tears. It was two in the morning and her husband didn't even bother to come at least to have their anniversary dinner. She had the whole house decorated and filled with memories of their three years marriage. Despite everything else she was still holding on to her marriage but deep down she knew the camel will break its back and it did. After two more hours of waiting and trying to make sense of everything he walks in, his coat on his arm a missing tie and the top buttons of his shirt open.
"Why are you still up??" He said calmly and she stood up smiling coldly.
"Happy Anniversary Lorenzo De Luca!" She said coldly before walking into the shower not missing the smirk on his face.
She got inside the tub she'd prepared for their special day alone and leaned back coming to terms with the fact that her marriage was over. She had seen the signs but was just unwilling to accept it. Now she had. She relaxed in the tub for a while as she freshened up before she cleaned everything up. She left the bathroom ignoring the handsome greek god that laid against the headboard watching her calmly. She went into the closet wore her comfy shorts and vest when he entered bare chest.
"Its already five in the morning!!" He said putting his shirt away but she walked out and got comfortable in bed. She shut her eyes until she heard the shower run and she silently cried herself to sleep that early morning. She drifted from her sleep and saw the man who trampled all over her heart sleeping peacefully. She got up and prepared something to eat knowing full well her baby's health was her only priority. Her morning sickness was taking a toll on her but her husband denying her baby took her on a whole other turmoil. She was done preparing breakfast when Lorenzo walked up to her.
"I almost thought you forfeited your responsibility as a wife!!" He said calmly leaning against the counter.
"Sooner than later!!" She said serving him some food and calmly passing it to him.
"What is that supposed to mean??" He said confused watching her serve herself some food before she sat down.
"That my dear husband means that am finally ready to have that divorce you threaten me with so much!!" She said calmly taking a bite of her food.
"You're leaving me??!!" He said coldly as she enjoyed her meal calmly.
"Am sorry i complicated the process I actually thought we had a future... Anyway shit happens so you didn't make my final decision hard anyway so... You win!!!" She said calmly pouring herself a cup of coffee.
"I win??? Are you saying this is my fault??!!"
"My fault you're fault whatever the case you brought the papers and now am ready to sign!!" She said calmly and he chuckled darkly.
"You cheat and its my fault our marriage fell apart!!!"
"Whatever floats your boat!!!"
"You won't even deny it??!!!"
"You galavant that slut in front of me for a whole year and the dumb stupid bitch in me just stayed hoping that you would come back to your senses but you never did–" She said trying to keep her emotions at bay and he laughed walking towards her.
"The dumb stupid bitch in you???? More like the gold digging whore in you!!! Can't take a dose of your own medicine like a big girl huh?? What are you giving up so soon?? Can't handle it like your mother's betrayal?? Huh what!! Can't handle it like your father's death??!!!!!" He yelled furiously towering her and she slapped him.
"Don't you dare talk about my father!!! At least he didn't deny me like you do to our child!!!!" She said tears threatening to fall and he chuckled darkly before furiously grabbing her wrist as she winced in pain.
"Our baby??!!!! You mean that thing you have in there???!!! Its not mine!!! I know its not mine!!!!" He said coldly and she tried to slap him with her free hand but he grabbed it firmly.
"It's yours Lorenzo!!!! Its your baby!!!!" She yelled tears now flowing down her face.
"THAT'S NOT TRUEEE!! ITS NOT MINE YOU FUCKING SLUT!!!!" He yelled furiously shoving her back and left her sobbing supporting herself on the counter. She heard the main door slam shut and suddenly a sharp pain kicked in. She wrapped her arms around her belly the pain accelerating as she dropped to her knees yelling in pain. She heard Lorenzo drive off while she screamed in pain clenching to her stomach her eyes becoming heavy until she saw it and froze. The pool of blood from her. Her baby. She screamed on top of her lungs and the security rushed inside to find her seated on a pool of blood.
