Chapter 1
DAUGHTER OF THE UNDERWORLD±
My name is Jasmine Brooklyn and I want to write this story because I don’t know what is going on in my life.
I live with my Nana, I lost my parents in a gruesome accident. Since the day I lost them, I have never been the same. I keep seeing things like I can see ghosts, I can see when someone is about to die, I can see mystical animals. I once told nana but she brushed it.
In high school, I was mostly isolated by my peers because I once told our headmaster that he would die this night and the next day he was found dead in his apartment. The only people that tried coming where warned by their parents to never associate with me, that I was bad luck.
One day I noticed nana’s light was dim that could mean one thing. My nana was about to die, the only person that accepted me in this cruel world was about to die. I made it my task to make sure she died happy.
Two weeks later she passed on and I wept like a new born baby, I couldn’t concentrate in class so I took a sick leave from school. At home the ghosts living with me tried to make me happy to no avail, so they went to wherever place I don’t know and brought back my parents and nana’s spirits.
I cried so bad that the ghosts stared at me with awe, nana hugged my back and gave me words of encouragements, my dad said I should be strong and I should never forget that I am special, my mom touched my face and cried, her tears accidentally entered my eyes and that changed the colours of my eyes from brown to light greyish blue. My dad immediately pulled my mom back telling her that is forbidden, that Hades should never find out what she did. I asked dad ‘who is Hades’ my dad answered saying that he is the king of the underworld. I immediately knew that what my mom did was going to cost her ghost but that was her last gift for me, we chatted for hours before they told me they that they had to leave for the underworld. I hugged them goodbye wait I could touch ghosts wow this is amazing, I was no longer a seer of ghosts but a feeler. I smiled at them while they disappeared, I went to the bathroom and looked at the mirror. I noticed a halo on my head, the halo looked creepy and black with a tiara look. I covered my mouth in shock like what happened to me, I decided to sleep on the matter.
