Like Reading A Chinese Drama!
"The Price Of Dissent is a visually captive tale that is set in ancient China. Although this is a script, the author manages to capture the internal struggles of the characters along with the scenery. The author's use of mentioning camera angles and zooms really helps to play the movie in my mind! This also furthers the feeling of intrigue of the characters as the reader is initially being introduced to them. The use of descriptors and camera motions aids in building the anticipation of future plot points in the minds of the readers. I think the script is done well. I thought it was a nice touch to be very descriptive so the reader could really imagine. This is the first script I've read that has left an impression on me in that regard. Other scripts tend to be a bit more cut dry as to leave a level of creative freedom to the actors and the direction. I appreciate the additional details! My note to the author would be to not be afraid to take the story to great heights or low depths emotionally but more importantly in the plot and journey of the two MC's. There are so many ways the author can further this story, and I hope she continues to write it well! :)"
