SHE'S A BADASS

Summary

**Britney Williams**, a seventeen-year-old with a background in boxing training from her aunt **Monica Fox**, leads a double life as the brutal vigilante **Night Vixen**. According to the sources, her primary motivation for assuming this mantle shifted after she discovered that her classmate **Dave Lizewski**—whom she had previously bullied—was actually the vigilante known as **Kick-Ass**. After Dave was hospitalized following a stabbing and a hit-and-run, Britney chose to move past their school history to become his **protector and combat trainer**. She believes that while Dave is brave, he lacks the necessary skills and sense to survive the escalating violence in Brooklyn, leading her to adopt the mindset that she must be the **"adult in the room"** to keep him alive.

I got dropped off at school by my beautiful mother and like most teenagers, I hugged my mother without saying she was embarrassing me and took all the have a great day sweetie! Why not?

“Awww mommy’s little princess.” One of the Jockey’s said thinking I wouldn’t do anything but my mother knew me best. “Brit, ignore him okay he’s a jerk.” I exhale with an innocent smile and began to walk off in peace until he said my mom was a milf as soon as she drove off.

She’s not here no one can save his ass now. “What you say about my mom, pussy?” I say dropping my backpack.

“Oh, sorry I said your mother is a mil-

Before he got to say f I sucker punch that boy in his eye and he fell on his ass then I spat on him which even I found disgusting but now he’ll know to not sexualize my mother.

“I’m telling the principal you black bitch.” I picked up my backpack, walked by him bucked at him as he flinched like a bitch.

I laughed and turned the corner and saw my sister from another mother. We did our secret handshake and in the middle of it.

A familiar voice said “Excuse me.” and I looked up at him with an intimidating glare. “Britney just move out of the way,” Mia said nervously but I put my size 8 and a half foot down.

“Walk around, nerd.” He nodded like the idiot he was and did as I said. My eyes followed him like a hawk.

“It’s been 5 years Brit, let it go,” Mia whined and I sucked my teeth. I still hold a grudge against my aunt who lied to me about giving me a dollhouse for Christmas when I was 8 so you think Dave is going to slide?

“If someone pisses me off it’s forever sorry not sorry.” I chuckle wrapping my arm around her neck as we make our way to our lockers. “What class do you have?” She asked as we opened our lockers and put our bags inside, in sync.

“Physics, you?” I sigh closing my locker. I see that she had English on the timetable before facing her.

“If a bitch tries you what do you do?” I asked with my hand on my hip while the other one held my physics notebook. “Give her a knuckle sandwich.” She said annoyed but I squealed.

“Fantastic, now go to class see you at lunch.” We hugged one another before going our separate ways. I get in and bump into Katie who is Kristen’s cousin. Every boy that goes here has wet dreams about her and as a girl, I don’t think she’s all that.

“Sorry,” she smiled at me. But at least she’s the nicer cousin. I gave her a fake smile before sitting down in my seat. She sat behind me and I heard her talking to her friend about Dave probably having a crush on her.

Like I said she’s every teenage boy’s fantasy after this class I had math and science then at lunch, I met Mia at our seat.

I sat down beside Mia, her dark hair cascading over her shoulders. She glanced up as I handed her a chocolate bar, a smile crossing her lips.

“You’re too kind,” she said, taking the chocolate bar with glee. “How did your classes go?” I shrugged, leaning back on the bench.

“Math was a snooze fest. But science was... interesting.” I admitted, my brow furrowing in thought.

“Math today, huh? I hate it. Algebra is such a dumb idea, who needs to find the value of ‘x’ anyway? You know what I say? ‘X marks the spot, where teachers hide their sick sense of humor.’ I swear, it’s like they want to give us all nightmares of solving equations in our sleep. Can you imagine waking up in a cold sweat, dreaming about finding the slope of a relationship? Pure torture, I tell you.” she laughs as I shake my head at the thought.

“Oh, and I almost forget to tell you Dave was caught staring at Mrs Douglas the English teacher’s boobs today.”

my eyes lit up with a mischievous gleam as she leaned in, clearly intrigued by the latest piece of gossip. “Really?” I said, a devilish smile playing on my lips. “Well, that’s certainly juicy.”

“Who would’ve thought Dave had a thing for older women?” I mused with sarcasm. I glanced over her shoulder, catching a glimpse of Dave sitting at a nearby table, surrounded by his friends sneaking glances at Kate, who was sitting at a nearby table with a group of friends.

Mia chuckled. “I guess there’s no accounting for taste,” she said.

I rolled my eyes and turned to Mia, who was in the middle of eating her sandwich. “You know what I don’t get?”

I continued, “Why do boys always go for girls like Kate? Like, sure, she’s pretty and smart, but there’s more to life than just looks and academic success, right? It just bugs me when guys overlook girls who are kind and fun and interesting, just because we don’t fit into some narrow box of what society says is attractive.”

Mia nodded in agreement, “I hear you. But you know what I think? I think guys are just intimidated by smart and confident girls like us.”

We laugh and continued chatting as we ate before being interrupted by a group of boys who approached us with cocky grins. “Hey girls,” one of them said, leaning against the table. “You ladies look lonely, care for some company?”

I shot the guys a sardonic smile. “Oh, of course, who can resist the charm of a bunch of pushy guys trying to force themselves into our conversation? Please, do grace us with your presence, if you don’t mind us yawning and rolling our eyes in sheer boredom.”

The boys walked off mumbling to themselves, I couldn’t resist chiming in with a quip.“Oh, excuse me, did you have something to say? I couldn’t quite hear you. Speak up next time, don’t be shy!” I called out, my voice filled with sarcastic mockery. The boys stopped in their tracks, turning back with a mixture of anger and embarrassment on their faces. One of them retorted, “You think you’re really funny, don’t you?” I smirked. “Oh, I know I’m funny, honey.”

The boys stood there, embarrassed and frustrated, while we burst into laughter. Seeing the boys’ discomfort, I couldn’t resist throwing one final insult before turning away. “You know what they say, laughter is the best medicine. Maybe you could use a little more of it in your lives, it might improve that sour disposition of yours!”

Mia and I exchanged high-fives, proud of my victory against the arrogant boys, and went back to enjoying our lunch.

After school, I follow Mia to her job at the comic book store. “Honestly I love and hate this job but it helps pay the bills.”

It’s true and that means I have to go job searching as well. I sit in the extra seat by the counter. This cute guy works with her name Aaron and I’ve begging her to hook us but she claims he has a girlfriend so I backed off for now.

He glanced at me and my kidney failed as I looked away. Looking towards the door I see him. “oh brother.” I growled and Mia glared at me.

“They’re my customers and you can leave if you don’t like Dave.” She knows I hate to leave her so stop being stubborn. “Hi, Mia.” One of Dave’s Marty said and I like him. Todd is nice too and cute. He has an adorable baby face.

“Hi, Todd.” I waved and winked making him giggle. Gosh, I love making men smile. “Hi,” Dave said. It looks like he grew an extra testicle today.

“Oh shit sorry.” He quickly sat down and I decided to look around the stores. Maybe I’ll buy something.

Spiderman. Read that already, x men read that already. I needed something different and that’s when I saw it-moon knight. Someone was right now to me so I asked them their honest opinion.

“Hi, sorry to bother you but is this book readable?” The guy adjusts his glass and nods. “My nephew read that and he said it’s pretty good,” he said and I smiled as he turned away.

Just then an expensive car pulls up. “Ouu, who’s driving this?” I stared until Chris Damico got out. Yeah, I’m no longer interested in the car. The Damico family is bad news.

I went to the front deck and bought the book before sitting and reading it to distract myself from the feeling of being in danger.

Chris walks in with a tall black bodyguard that reminds me of Deboo from Friday. Usually, I’m not scared of anyone but he looks like he body slams people. I hope no one thinks about actually approaching Chris when he’s around.

“Fuck off.” I heard the big guy say and thought it was me until I looked away from the book and saw Dave there.

At this point, I think bad luck keeps knocking on his door. I felt somewhat sorry for him for the first time when I saw the fear in his eyes and his friends turning their backs on him.

“Is that a look of pity?” Mia said and I quickly snapped out of it. “Whatever.” I fan her off as I watch them leave the store.
