Chapter 1 - Beginnings
Alear Ravenwood, lovingly called Birdie by those closest to her, resides in a stunning and luxurious mansion in the charming and idyllic Saratoga Springs, New York. Her parents, Alistair Maximilian Nathaniel Ravenwood, affectionately known as Max, and his wife, Josesphina Ravenwood (formerly Nightingale), who are both in their early twenties, bravely relocated from the beautiful city of Oslo, Norway, to embrace a new beginning in New York and oversee the operations of their family’s business.
Upon arriving in New York, USA, Mr. and Mrs. Ravenwood, now known as Alistair and Josephina Ravenwood, decided to build a family following their recent nuptials. Coming from Oslo, Norway, they were eager to begin this new chapter of their lives in a different part of the world. Upon arriving at their new home in the United States, Alistair, the company’s CEO, discussed the significance of visiting the new company location with his wife, Josephina. Alistair stressed the importance of proactively prioritizing a visit to the company building to ensure employees worked in a supportive, safe, and pleasant environment. Moreover, both Alistair and Josephina expressed a strong desire to establish genuine, positive, and engaging relationships with their employees. They deeply understand the value of fostering a strong sense of teamwork and camaraderie within the company, recognizing that it is vital for the overall success and well-being of the organization.
It has been two years since Alistair and Josephina bravely chose to relocate to the United States to pursue their dream of establishing a successful business and building a promising future. Despite acknowledging their physical distance from their extended families, they eagerly anticipated the prospect of creating their close-knit family circle.
It’s been an incredible journey for Alistair and Josephina over the past two years since they boldly decided to leave their home country and relocate to the United States to pursue their dream of establishing a thriving business and creating a secure future for their family. Despite being physically distant from their extended families, they eagerly looked forward to the opportunity to build their close-knit family circle in their new home. Over the years, the Ravenwood couple remained steadfast in their pursuit of expanding their family, and their anticipation turned into pure joy when they discovered that they would not just be welcoming one but two precious boys into the world whom they lovingly named Sebastian and Spencer.
Their determination bore fruit as they joyfully welcomed twenty-four children into their bustling home. Numerous twins and triplets were among their children, creating a lively and dynamic family environment filled with newborns, toddlers, and school-aged youngsters. This new chapter in their lives has been filled with challenges and blessings, but Alistair and Josephina remain dedicated to creating a loving and nurturing home for their growing family.
In a bustling household filled with laughter and love, the family thrived with a remarkable ensemble of children, each with unique names and vibrant personalities. The firstborn twins, Sebastian and Spencer, affectionately known as Bastian and Spence, were at the heart of this bustling group. Their bond was unbreakable, and they were a dynamic duo that set the tone for the rest of the family.
Following closely behind were Christopher, Dean, and Samuel, lovingly called Chris, Dee, and Sam. Despite not sharing a twin or triplet connection, their camaraderie was undeniable, weaving a tight-knit bond between them. Next came the second set of twins, Jordan and James, known as Jordi and Jay, along with their brother Logan, fondly referred to as Logi. Logan’s presence was a harmonious addition to the twins, radiating alongside them with his unique energy.
Andrew, Kingston, and Matthew, known as Drew, Kings, and Matt, joined this lively group. Though not part of a multiple birth, they were equally cherished and beloved, adding their flair to the family dynamic. The trio of Richard, Rowan, and Raymond, affectionately known as Rick, Ro, and Ray, brought a distinctive dynamism to their triplet bond, enriching the family’s tapestry.
Another set of twins, Benjamin and Bartholomew, lovingly called Ben or Benji and Barry or Bear, stood out as the gentle giants of the family. Their towering stature belied their gentle nature, exuding a sense of calm and strength that comforted those around them. The triplets, Harlan, Henrick, and Hunter, endearingly known as Harley, Henry, and Hunt, each possessed their unique charm but stood united in their brotherhood, cementing their unbreakable connection.
And then there were the triplets Peter, Paxton, and Perseus, known as Pete, Pax, and Percy, each with their distinctive personalities but always there for each other through thick and thin. Lovely known as Grey, Greyson brought warmth and mischief to the mix, adding joy to the family dynamics. Finally, the youngest and only girl in the family, Alear, affectionately known as Birdie, brought her calm, sunny, introverted, reserved personality. This gentle presence tied the family together in her unique way.
This eclectic group of siblings formed a colorful tapestry of love, laughter, and endless adventures, their individuality shining brightly within the embrace of their large, loving family.
Birdie’s upbringing was indeed one of a kind. As the solitary girl in a family of twenty-three brothers, she navigated a boisterous and lively environment, where her quiet and sunny introverted nature counterbalanced her brothers’ chaos. Despite the adversity, she emerged with remarkable strength and resilience. Growing up in such a setting fueled her competitive spirit, constantly propelling her to match the energy of her brothers.
Birdie often struggled with deep isolation and loneliness despite her unwavering determination and inner strength. She yearned for a close female confidante with whom she could share her innermost thoughts and experiences. Josephina, the respected matriarch of the Ravenwood Family, noticed her young daughter’s intense solitude, particularly in comparison to her sons, who had each other for companionship.
Seeing that 5-year-old Birdie longed for a female friend, Josephina took her on a stroll through the iconic Central Park in New York City. They made their way to one of the charming playgrounds in the park, hoping to provide Birdie with the companionship she so desperately craved.
Josephina brought her young daughter, Alear, to Heckscher Playground, a bustling and lively area filled with children’s laughter and the sight of playful kids running around. Alear, a shy and introverted child, often struggled to connect with other children her age. However, everything changed when a compassionate and warm-hearted girl named Evangeline Raziel, hailing from a middle-class background, noticed Alear sitting alone on a weathered wooden bench.
Evangeline, just a month older than Alear, took Alear’s hand, leading her toward one of the water areas. With a mischievous glint in her eye, Evangeline playfully splashed water on Alear, surprising her and coaxing a spontaneous giggle. Initially caught off guard, Alear soon caught herself in the joyous play.
After their watery escapade, Alear gathered her courage and inquired about the name of her newfound friend. With grace and kindness, Evangeline introduced herself. Alear, in turn, introduced herself and shared that her family preferred using nicknames for a more personal and lighthearted touch. Intrigued, Evangeline asked Alear to share her nickname, to which Alear replied, “Birdie.” Eager to reciprocate the gesture, Alear proposed “Angie” as a shortened version of Evangeline’s name. From that moment on, a profound and enduring friendship took root between the two girls.
After spending time playing together, Birdie, thrilled to find a new friend, enthusiastically took Angie’s hand and led her to her mother, Josephina, to share the news. As Angie walked with her new friend in the middle of the park, clutching Birdie’s tiny hand tightly, the vibrant world around her buzzed with excitement and curiosity.
The sun filtered through the leaves, casting playful shadows on the ground as laughter and chatter filled the air. She felt a mix of anticipation and nervousness about meeting Birdie’s mother, Josephina, but the warmth of her friend’s presence made her feel braver.
Suddenly, a familiar voice cut through the noise—a voice that made her heart leap with joy. It was her mom, Margaret! Angie’s head snapped up, her wide eyes sparkling with surprise. She looked up at Birdie, who seemed just as surprised. Angie’s mind raced as she wondered why her mother was here now. Wasn’t she supposed to be chatting with the other parents on the other side of the park? The thought made her giggle a little, and she felt comforted. With her mom nearby, everything felt right. Maybe meeting Birdie’s mother wouldn’t be so scary after all. With a grin creeping onto her face, Angie felt a surge of confidence, ready to step into this new adventure with her best friend by her side.
Little Birdie, a shy and quiet five-year-old, held her new friend Angie’s hand tightly, and she led her over to her mother, Josephina. Birdie softly introduced Angie to her mom, saying, “Mama, look, I want you to meet my new friend. Her name is Evangeline, but I call her Angie as her nickname.” Birdie’s mother, Josephina, warmly greeted Angie, “Hello Angie, I’m Josephina, Birdie’s mother. It’s wonderful to meet you. Thank you for becoming my daughter’s new friend. And this is Margaret Raziel, Angie’s mother. She’s my new friend, too.”
Angie’s vibrant and lively demeanor shone through as she joyfully introduced her new companion, Birdie, to her mother, Margaret. “Hi, Momma, this is my new friend Birdie,” Angie exclaimed. Margaret, familiar with her daughter’s enthusiastic nature, gently requested, “Evangeline, please lower your voice. I don’t think your new friend would appreciate such a boisterous greeting.” “Hello, dear, you must be Birdie, Josephina’s daughter. My name is Margaret. I’m delighted to meet you, and I hope you will value my daughter’s friendship,” Margaret greeted warmly. “Meeting your mother and hearing all the amazing things about you has been an absolute pleasure.”
After a lively chat with their mothers, Josephina and Margaret, about their exciting new friendships, Angie and Birdie happily spent the rest of the morning playing together. When it was finally time to head home for lunch, Josephina and Margaret called out to their daughters. Angie and Birdie exchanged bittersweet farewells, sharing hugs and promising to see each other again soon.
After their encounter at Heckscher Park, Angie and Birdie forged an unbreakable bond, transforming into the closest of friends. Their connection was so deep that it transcended the ordinary, creating a profound, platonic relationship. They became known as Angie and Birdie in no time, inseparable in both heart and spirit.
