Glossary - Introduction

This introduction to my Multiverse serves as an explanatory Glossary of some common terms used in several of my stories.

Most of my stories are not related to each other unless otherwise specified, but as you may have noticed, almost all of them have the same protagonists and this is because they all take place in my multiverse.

You will notice that there are names of cities, services and products that are repeated, but they do not exist in our real world, so I thought it appropriate to mention them here.

The only story (so far, September 2024) in which the worlds come together is Destiny, and this is because the protagonists jump from one world to another.

So here is a little background on the multiverse.

My stories take place in Auland, an island with 400,000 square kilometers, located in the southern hemisphere.

The island has fifteen million inhabitants and is divided into five provinces, Pacifica, New Albion, Hesperia, Nemea and LandVale. Its capital is in Nemea and is called New Delphos.

The multiverse is ruled by the Greek gods, who live in Eternithos, see cover; a place outside the multiverse from which they observe all the worlds. In some worlds the Greek gods are worshipped as the main religion of the planet and in others they aren’t, but they don’t really care.

In Eternithos time flows differently than in the multiverse and only flows in one direction, dictated by the river Aionis. The castle from where the gods observe the multiverse is called Chronoria, and it is a place where the threads of the past, present and future are handled by divine hands.

Due to the preponderance of the Greek gods in thousands of worlds, all of them were influenced in some way and because of this, the names of different companies and corporations, as well as provinces and cities come from mythology.

NyxFlix: Named after Nyx, the goddess of the night, suggesting a platform perfect for late-night binge-watching.

MuseTube: Named after the Muses, goddesses of inspiration and the arts, it is an ideal platform for publishing creative content.

Athena Search Engine: While Athena is not very happy with this name, mortals decided that since she is the goddess of wisdom, naming the main search engine after her would be a great honor for her.

This glossary will be edited according to your doubts and questions or if new places or products are added to the Multiverse in the future.
