Chapter 1

"No!" "Your such a jackass!" "Takes one to know one!" Andrea walked out slamming the door. This dick was going to make her late. All she had to do was get to school successfully and yet here he is being annoying. She slammed her car door shut driving to uni. Her phone rung. She answered it. "BESTIE!!" Her best friend Estence squealed. Andrea smiled squealing as well. "BESTIE!!" "Oh my gosh. Why aren't you here yet!" "Sorry. That jerk Evan decided to take my stuff. I had this beautiful purple lace top I was going to wear over my outfit and yet here he is ruining my day." "As always right?" "Exactly. Like what is his problem?" "No idea." "How is he and my mom even friends?" "I don't know." She walked into uni gripping her backpack that was hanging on for dear life. She finally made it to her class. Estence smiled. Andrea could hear Estence chewing her gum at the doorway. The teacher smiled. "I'm glad you could make it Andrea. Please sit so we can get started with our lesson." Andrea nodded quickly walking over to Estence. "Gum?" "Mhm." Estence passed her a piece. "So today. I wanted everyone to learn the four basic elements of design used in fashion. Which are shape or silhouette, line, colour and texture. They are very important. There are three basic types of silhouettes; straight or tubular, bell shaped or bouffant,

triangular or back. So that's what we will be doing a project over. I want everyone to make a dress using one of those. You  CAN NOT and WILL NOT use one from some type of search engine. And you can't copy anything from anyone. You make your own design. Your design is going to tell me a bit about you. This is a design you will be able to show off. You wouldn't want someone showing off your design and saying it's their's right?" The class mumbled. "Exactly. So. Use your unique style. You have three months to complete your design."

After class

Estence squealed. "I'm so excited. First off, we need everything for our design." "We can go to the designer store. I need some fabric and stuff." "Yeah. This is going to be..something." "OH! You wanna get some coffee?" "Yes. I'm going to need it." "I can't wait till my name is on the cover of a magazine talking about one of my designs." "I want to design one of the all time celebrities." "Like The Weekend." "Or Chris Brown." "Lil Boosie too." "Summer Walker." "Snoop Dogg." "The list just goes on and on." "Right." They walked into Starbucks and ordered their coffee. "If you ever need to you can always design at my house." "I know. But I like my designs to shock everyone." "And just because of that your stuck with Evan." "Right." "Your coffee ladies." "Thank you." "Thanks." The person nodded and walked away. Estence and Andrea walked out of the building. "Call me when your on break." "Most definitely." Andrea got in her car and went home. Evan looked at her once she stepped through the door. "If it isn't the freak of the west." "Whatever Evan. I have work to do so I prefer to not bother with your nonsense." "And what work is that?" Andrea snatched the bag of chips out of his hands. "Hey!" She stuck her tounge out and quickly ran to her room locking the door. "I'm gonna kill you!" "How? You can't get through the door." "You know what." She heard footsteps as if he was walking away from the door. She got on the floor looking out the crease to see if he was there. No one was there. She shrugged grabbing her sketchbook to start on her design. She had three months to finish so it had to be outrageous. Not to much though. Ms. Sanders may seem nice but she sure could turn cold in a matter of seconds. The door opened and Evan smiled. "Maybe you should have locked yourself in a room that can't be unlocked with a knife." "Don't you dare step foot in my room?" "Why does your room look like a funeral?" Evan said walking in anyway. The room was covered in black. Even the walls were black. The only few things that weren't black was her dresser and closet which were a pastel purple. "The same reason yours looks like a rainbow." "Do you even know the colors of a rainbow?" "Get out!" "Not until I get my chips back." "You won't find them. So it's best if you just leave. Instead of getting on my nerves. I'm trying to work." "Sounds like a you problem to me." "You could get a job instead of leeching off of your mother." "Annie. Please. Mind your business." "Don't call me that." "I'm sorry. Did I hurt your feelings?" "Get out!" Andrea grabbed the nearest two pillows and threw them at him. "Ow." He said in a flat tone. "It hurts." Andrea rolled her eyes and reached under her bed throwing his chips at his face. "Now get out of my room." "Let me think about it- I'm trying to work!" "Ok. Ok. Bye Annie." He walked out of her. "Shut the door!" "You told me to 'get out'. Not 'shut the door on your way out'." She groaned slamming her door shut. Evan sat down on the couch turning on the TV.
