Summary

Y/N stood nervously beside the door, unsure of what to do. Jungkook looked at her with a teasing smile. "𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞, 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬" he said, his voice playful Y/N felt even more nervous, her fingers fidgeting as she looked down. Jungkook’s smirk grew wider. "𝐈 𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞. Cʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ1

Y/N woke up early, excited and nervous because today was her first day at her new job. She quickly got freshened up and stepped out of her room, heading towards the dining table where her aunt and uncle were already seated.

As Y/N sat down in her usual seat, she quietly picked up a piece of bread, hoping to eat in peace. But her aunt's sharp voice broke the silence.

Her aunt smirked and said, "Now it's time for you to pay back what we've spent on you all these years, Y/N."

Y/N nodded her head, trying to remain calm. "I'll pay back every penny," she said softly.

Her aunt, clearly pleased with herself, added with a sneer, "Yeah, you better. You owe us that much."

Before Y/N could respond, her uncle intervened, clearly annoyed. "Today's her first day at work, and you're already bringing this up? Let her focus," he said, giving Y/N a gentle pat on the head. "Good luck, Y/N. It's time for you to stand on your own feet now."

Her aunt rolled her eyes and snapped back, "As usual, you think I'm wrong."

And just like that, they started bickering. Y/N, unable to take it anymore, stood up abruptly, slamming her hands down on the table. The sound echoed through the room, silencing both of them.

"I said I'll pay back every penny, so please stop fighting," Y/N said firmly, her voice full of frustration.

She grabbed her bag from the couch and walked towards the door, but before stepping outside, she paused and turned back to look at the house she had lived in for so long. It felt more like a cage than a home.

With a deep sigh, she muttered to herself, "Sooner or later, I'll leave this hell and buy my own apartment."

With that, she stepped out, determined to make her first day at work the beginning of her escape.

Y/N arrived at the office building and waited by the elevator. When the doors opened, a man in a black suit walked in, but no one else followed. Confused, Y/N stepped into the elevator alone, noticing everyone else was still standing outside.

  JUNGKOOK OUTFIT

Just then, her best friend Luna hurried over.

Y/N, looking confused, asked, "Why aren't they coming in?"

Luna hesitated, but Y/N grabbed her arm and pulled her inside. "We're going to the same floor, right?" Y/N said with a smile.

Luna nodded, looking nervous. Y/N noticed the man in the black suit standing with a straight face in the corner.

"Mister, where are you getting off?" Y/N asked.

Without looking at her, the man replied coldly, "Seventh floor."

"Oh, so we're going to the same office!" Y/N said cheerfully. Luna quickly pinched her arm.

"Shhh! Stop talking," Luna whispered urgently.

Y/N looked at her, confused. "Why? Is everyone in your office like that? So serious and all straight-faced. Didn't you say your boss always looks like that? You said he's like a handsome beast!"

Y/N chuckled, amused by the thought. Just then, the man in the suit coughed quietly, making Luna even more nervous.

Luna leaned closer and whispered, "YOU IDIOT THE MAN STANDING BEHIND YOU IS OUR BOSS"

Y/N's eyes widened in shock. She stared at Luna, her mouth open in disbelief. Before she could say anything, the elevator doors opened, and the man-Jungkook-stepped out without a word.

As soon as the doors closed behind him, Luna lightly slapped Y/N's shoulder. "You're really in trouble now!"

Y/N groaned, covering her face with her hands. "What do I do? I haven't even started my job, and now he's going to fire me!"

Meanwhile, Jungkook entered his office and stood in front of a large mirror. Looking at his reflection with a sigh, he muttered to himself, "DO THEY REALLY THINK I'M A BEAST?"

He frowned, feeling slightly annoyed.

After some time, Jungkook's assistant, Jimin, walked over to Y/N's desk. He looked around and then asked, "Where's Mrs. Y/N?"

Y/N quickly stood up. "That's me," she said nervously, wondering why the boss would want to see her so soon.

"The boss wants to see you in his office," Jimin said, pointing toward the large office doors.

Luna, who was sitting nearby, gave Y/N a light pat on the shoulder and joked, "Go on, your doom is waiting for you."

Y/N swallowed hard, feeling nervous as she made her way to Jungkook's office. Her hands felt sweaty, and her heart was beating fast. When she reached the door, Jimin opened it for her.

"You can go in now," he said with a small nod.

Y/N hesitated for a second before stepping into the office. Inside, the room felt serious, and she could feel the pressure immediately. Jungkook was sitting behind his big desk, looking through some papers. When she entered, he looked up, his sharp eyes meeting hers.

He sighed, sounding disappointed. "Don't you know you're supposed to knock before entering an office?" His voice was cold, and Y/N felt even more nervous.

Her eyes dropped to the floor as she started playing with her fingers.

Jungkook raised an eyebrow and continued, "What? Can't you speak now? Or did you forget how to talk after making fun of me earlier in the elevator?"

Y/N's face turned red with embarrassment, remembering her careless words. "I-I'm so... sorry," she stuttered, her voice shaky.

Without saying anything else, Jungkook picked up a file from his desk and tossed it onto the table in front of her. The sound made Y/N flinch.

"Take this file and start working with Luna," he said sternly. "If you mess up, I'll fire you. This is your last chance."

Y/N was surprised. She thought she might get fired right away, but he was giving her another chance. Her face brightened, and she quickly bowed.

"Thank you, boss," she said, grabbing the file quickly. She rushed out of the office, her heart still pounding, but she felt a little relieved.

As she stepped into the hallway, Y/N took a deep breath, clutching the file tightly. She knew she had to prove herself now, and there was no room for mistakes.
