Her bond with Sylva and the tension in her relationship with Jack added a whole new depth to the story. This novel is not just a fantasy — it's an emotional journey. "Emily was everything and so much more she was sick but brave she never let her sickness bring her down and there was the handsome jack who liked her but will all way put up a fight with her every time making her annoyed they're both the cutest couple It became a twist where what you didn't expect starts happening the robot was another level or the merging of a werewolf and a robot the vampires and and really curious of who jack really is? Is cute, sweet, kind but beneath these things he's dangerous what kind of student has a whole mafia after he's life what job does he do? My main character is Jack he's made me curious what's he hiding from Emily Anyways Emily is a must read i highly recommend it author neri has done another it really exceed my expectations every chapter pulled me in more and more am really worried about Jack's problems and emily heath i can't wait to see where it goes "

"Emily always felt that she had it rough in life. Battling a rare disease called 'Blight', she spends most of her time in a hospital created for super-naturals. Also, Emily can barely get her wolf, Sylva to emerge, due to her illness. Then there are her parents. With a smothering mother and a distant father, it is sometimes difficult for Emily to believe in her worth as a teenager or a wolf. Enter Jack, handsome, charismatic and always in some sort of trouble. Emily harbors a secret crush on Jack and hopes desperately that he is her destined mate despite his somewhat dismissive attitude towards her. However it is unlikely that Jack sees her as anything but an irritant with her sickly condition. Then comes the day when Emily escapes the hospital and is almost raped in the process. Jack arrives to the rescue and as the two tumble in each other's arms, while rolling down a hill, Emily sees interest in Jack's eyes towards her for the first time. Her wolf Sylva reacts. Perhaps Jack might be willing teach her wolf Sylva to do more than just howl. Author Neri A. Leleji has done it again with another enjoyable comedy filled with likable characters who makes us want to laugh and cry for them at the same time. My favorite character is Emily herself. A strong and attractive girl who sometimes lacks faith in herself. Neri has promised there would be a book two and I'm looking forward to reading it as well. Here's hoping that Emily discovers her worth so that Jack will learn to appreciate her too!"
Robots, Romance, and Real Stakes – Hooked from Episode One
"The detail is amazing. From episode one, it feels like you're able to see a movie scene playing out in front of you. The descriptions and careful creation of the scenes are captivating. I really love the futuristic features, especially the robots, and how they interact with the characters. As far as the character go, I absolutely love the main character, but not nearly as much as I love the male lead. I really like their dynamic. It's funny and cute with random moments of seriousness. Jack's cheekiness makes me want to root for him even in the moments that Emily seems annoyed. Every chapter pulled me more and more in. I'm worried about Emily's health and Jack's shenanigans. I can't wait to find out what happens next. This is definitely a must read, and I highly recommend it!"
