Ch 1 Meeting Mr Devil

Author's Pov

Taehyung's fingers flew through his hair, his reflection showing a mix of excitement and love.

Today was his wedding day!

He hummed along to happy music as he dressed in a tailored groom suit of colour black

It fit perfectly and made him feel handsome.

With a final flourish, he straightened his bright black shinny hair.

Butterflies danced in his stomach as he reached the wedding venue.

The doors opened.

Revealing Namjoon.

Yes! Namjoon standing at the altar, also impeccably dressed in a suit.

His eyes shone with love as they met Taehyung's.

"Wow, you look amazing," Taehyung said, his heart skipping a beat.

Namjoon smiled. "You don't look so bad yourself, Tae."

Taehyung chuckled.

Every step down the aisle felt magical.  They reached the altar, their hands meeting in a silent promise.

The ceremony began, but for Taehyung, only Namjoon existed.

Their eyes locked, silently communicating their love and commitment.

When it came time to exchange rings, Taehyung's hands trembled slightly.

He slipped the ring onto Namjoon's finger.

"With this ring, I promise you my love, my loyalty, and my forever," Taehyung said, his voice thick with emotion.

"And with this ring," Namjoon replied, his voice equally emotional, "I promise you the same."

The officiant declared them married.  Taehyung and Namjoon sealed their vows with a kiss, a promise of a lifetime together.

"I'm so lucky to have you as my husband," Namjoon whispered, pulling Taehyung close.

"And I, you," Taehyung replied, beaming.

Laughter filled the air as they walked back down the aisle, showered with congratulations.

The reception was a joyous affair.

As they mingled with guests, a man in a sharp suit approached them.

"Congratulations!" the man boomed.

"Thank you sir!" Namjoon said, shaking the man's hand.  "Taehyung, this is my boss, Mr. Jeon Jungkook."

"It's a pleasure to meet you," Taehyung said, extending his hand.

Jungkook took Taehyung's hand in a firm handshake, but then his grip lingered a beat too long.

A strange feeling ran down Taehyung's spine as Jungkook's thumb brushed against his palm in a way that felt...off.

"Nice to meet you too," Jungkook said with a sly smile that didn't quite reach his eyes.

He gave Taehyung's hand a final squeeze before letting go.

Taehyung forced a smile, trying to ignore the unease that settled in his stomach.

He couldn't explain it, but something about that handshake felt wrong.

He pushed the feeling down, not wanting to dwell on it on his wedding day.

The rest of the night was a blur of congratulations, dancing, and cake.

But every now and then, Taehyung's thoughts would drift back to Jungkook's strange touch, leaving a lingering sense of unease.

Namjoon led Taehyung by the hand, his heart pounding with a mix of nervousness and excitement.

"Are you ready, Tae?" Namjoon's voice was gentle, filled with affection.

Taehyung's nerves fluttered, but he nodded, his trust in Namjoon unwavering. "I'm ready, Joonie."

With a soft smile, Namjoon reached out and tenderly covered Taehyung's eyes with his hands. "Just trust me, okay?"

Taehyung's heart skipped a beat at the gesture, his anticipation growing. "I trust you, Joonie. "

Slowly, Namjoon guided Taehyung forward, their footsteps echoing softly in the quiet hallway.

Taehyung's other senses heightened as he focused on the sound of Namjoon's steady breathing, the warmth of his hand against his own.

Finally, they reached the door of their wedding night bedroom.

Namjoon's voice was a whisper against Taehyung's ear. "Okay, Tae. You can open your eyes now."

Taehyung's heart raced as he slowly opened his eyes, his breath catching in his throat at the sight before him.

The room was bathed in a soft, romantic glow, the bed adorned with rose petals and candles flickering on every surface.

Namjoon's eyes gleamed with love and desire as he gazed at Taehyung. "Welcome to our first night as husbands, Tae."

Tears welled up in Taehyung's eyes as he looked around the room, overwhelmed by the love and thoughtfulness that Namjoon had poured into every detail.

He turned to Namjoon, his voice choked with emotion. "It's perfect, Joonie. Thank you."

Namjoon pulled Taehyung into his arms, holding him close. "I love you, Tae. Tonight is just the beginning of our forever together."

And as they embraced in the warm glow of their love-filled room, Taehyung knew that no matter what the future held, as long as he had Namjoon by his side, he would always be home.

Faerah: Strong plot. Really good characters. I agree that editing will only improve the quality of the story. There were inconsistencies with timelines (mother's death) and narratives changed in later chapters to fit for an emotive dialogue. Couple of twists were timed well. Would love for the author to wr...

DuckieFlowers: I don't know which story was sadder, this one or Neon's. This one probably was but I love how you were able to take two broken people and show how they healed each other. This was a masterpiece and you did a wonderful job telling Ghost's story.
