"My, oh my! I have thoroughly enjoyed this book so far! I haven’t been able to put it down. I am so excited to see where it goes, and how it ends, because Eliza, girl, it just can’t end like this! You literally have me at the edge of my seat! I love the character development and the story outline. My favourite part is that it’s set in Salem! Every witches dream place 🖤 I shall do a more in depth review once I’ve completed the book; but you should be proud of this one! Eek! I’m so excited!!"

I’m intrigued by it all… and left wondering does Claudia’s father only want her because she is of use to him or because he wants to actually have a relationship with his daughter? "A well written, cleverly plotted YA novel. Good subject matter. Moves at a nice pace and well thought out. Being a relatively short book there's not a huge amount of character development. However, the writing feels authentic, the style smooth and easy. Subject matter interesting. Good job. An Author to watch."
Good bones & Fun Read. Read 21 out of 33 chapters posted so far.
"I remember reading an analogy: a story needs good bones, enough meat, and a touch of fat to be built right; in short, a right balance of parts/ elements to make it whole. "Madly" has good bones, great characters and is written well, but sometimes I felt it needed more meat and a little less fat. Claudia's late mom has strange abilities, and so does the daughter, but what they were is not clarified until the middle/ ch 21 of the book. Pierce seems like the love interest but then turns out to be more. The mysterious death and the dead body she sees is another good subplot (both a mystery to solve and a vehicle of her abilities) The subplot of the absent father reaching out is also interesting, as is her family history. The OCs: the detective, Dominic, and Daddy dear, are also intriguing. Selene is the only seemingly normal individual invested in Claudia's well-being (so far). So I wondered why did my interest wane at times? Maybe because the layered suspense (multiple unanswered subplots) becomes 'too much of a good thing'. I love a good mystery or thriller, and I have noticed they tend to stagger the revelations to build and then reveal red herrings, facilitate a misdirection, or make the big twist believable. In Madly, there are too many threads to follow but none offer satisfactory answers, or even progress toward answers so far. Finally, in my opinion, the 'I see dead people' realization comes too slowly and too late in the story and I suspect most readers figured it out. But again it's not fleshed out but dangled as bait. The tone and narrative are great, and so is the writing. The pacing, maybe throwing in some payouts of the build-up/ answers are aspects, I believe, that could do with some fine-tuning to become a gripping page turner. Ps. I have read 21 chapters and will update the review after reading the rest. "
