Summary

There, she finds herself in the company of new friends. While therapy has shown some promise in helping her cope with her traumatic past, her original doctor relocates, leaving her in the care of a new physician who lacks the same warmth and kindness. Asante's troubles come to a head during her university years, where she crosses paths with a truly sincere individual with genuine intentions. However, her deep-seated belief that she is too damaged to deserve such love leads her to self-sabotage
