It's a universal truth that things never happen in our life as we predict it. But for them; it went from dreams to nightmares, from bliss to worse.

The unimaginable chaos that hit them, snatched a life, and left them with broken hearts, crushed dreams, and writhing souls. 

Almost 4 years have passed. Things never remain the same nor better, for any of them. Anya was back to square one. 

She doesn't have the similar mindset which she had four years ago, anymore.

That second date Ace promised never came!

He made it back to Axel and Emily's wedding a month later and left that same night, promising Anya to be back. 

For few weeks everything was normal, and then his messages and calls stopped. Her messages and calls weren't answered.

Then one day, his apology message came, and soon he showed up. But Before Anya could celebrate, he dropped a bomb... that 'He is married now!'

It was so shocking! At first, Anya thought he was kidding.

Confused and embarrassed, Ace awkwardly explained to her. How he was involved in an investigation, along with cops in London. It's a year-long hard work to save the kids who were illegally shipped. 

The survey lead them to the powerful family that has a link with the underworld. 

The sources told him the orphan heiress was used as a puppet by her uncle, who was looking after their empire and running that heinous business. 

When he learns she was about to be used as a business transaction to another monster, Ace intervened to save her.

But the rescue mission went wrong and things happened out of his control.

It was an impulsive decision, but when Ace discovered there was no way out for her, the angel heart ended up marrying the girl, saving her and her family empire.

He didn't think much, but that was the only way he could've saved the moment. He thought of faking it, but then, he couldn't leave that barely 18-year-old innocent, broken girl alone in that world of monsters. 

The cops and court intervened, and arrested the culprits, declaring her to be the rightful owner of the empire, which ended that nightmare in London.

But soon, the realization hit him hard, and guilt shrunk him. It took him days to return to Anya and tell all this on her face. 

Anya was stunned at the beginning, but soon, she composed and smiled. She can understand him and his helplessness, and told him that he did the right thing, and she's proud of him, as no one would dare to do what he did. 

She heartily wished him for his married life, and told him to keep that beautiful heart of his and to be an angel always. And also, she's so proud to call him a friend. 

The guilt ridden Ace, proposed her the job in his NGO branch in Manhattan, as she wished.

Anya was surprised but soon agreed. In a month she joined as an assistant manager. She needed this, to be away from her circle, away from the actual heartache. 

Soon she learnt how the organization works and became involved and blended, in that atmosphere. No matter what, the stubborn firecracker gets the job done every time.

Like this job was meant for her, in a year, she was promoted to be the manager of the sector. In no time, the young, ambitious, and gorgeous Anya became the face of the Organization. 

Ace's face was fading through her heart, but she didn't dare to highlight that rigid statue that hadn't moved from her heart at all. 

She would never do that, he's happy with Emily. Over the months she tried to bury that angelic form inside her heart so that she won't sin by his thoughts.

But it never went away. Swallowing her secret yearning, she behaves in ...Anya's way. 

At that moment, her aching heart needed a strong distraction, and Ace became one, but he hardly made it to her heart.

When she finally woke up from his sweet dreams, that old heartache returned ten times worse, making her miserable. And being in a close circle with Axel and Emily didn't seem ideal for her. 

She completely immersed herself in her work. A year later she was appointed as a director of the Organization.

Ace and Anya were still friends. She even met the girl Ace married. Nope, to her utter dismay, she didn't feel any discomfort or jealousy watching them together.

But that wasn't the case with Axel and Emily. She reduced frequent meetings even if she had time. 

But Liam spent those weekends with her.

Grandma Rita's heart aches seeing at her adorable grandkid. She knows it's not easy to move on.

Also, those mature eyes understood it's not Ace but Axel she's still trying to move on from. But she can't do anything there, only Anya can help herself.

She believed, time will mend everything. 

Another month was gone and they all hit with shock that Emily was no more.

It was unbelievable!

Emily just stumbled and fell in their office corridor but didn't get up after. The doctors declared it a case of a brain haemorrhage.

The King's mansion was draped in sorrow and darkness. Every heart, broke. Axel left the country in a month, unable to take it anymore. 

Emily's parents and Daniel's family were crushed by the news. She left them all to grieve for life. 

Liam was around 4 and half years old at that time. That softhearted, broken soul completely leaned on Anya for his sanity. So did Anya, she embraced Liam for her comfort.

On Liam's demand, she even shifted to Kings. Slowly, Anya filled Emily's shoes; Anya became ...his mother. The King couple's aching hearts somewhat soothed by her presence.

Anya's and Emily's family heartily welcomed Emily's soul, a little wonder to their lives; Liam!

Anya's Grandmother and parents loved him, and they knew the whole story about Liam and Axel’s relationship.

As Liam became an important part of their child's life, he became a family. They adore him, and he travelled with Anya to her hometown a bunch of times. Anya's Attic became theirs now. 

Axel left the country, and never made it back, not even for Liam's birthday. He barely speaks to anyone but with Liam, he talks regularly.

That was the only comfort. But the rest of them hardly heard him or saw him. 

But even though he wasn't present there with them, that doesn't mean he ignored them.

From the tiniest requirements to the medical, he took care of the needs of his family, including Anya's. 

Yup, every month the doctors show up on their doorstep for a general checkup, including Anya. 

Anya's heart writhes uncomfortably. She was dying to hear his thundering tone, that shook the very ground but nothing! it's too calm, a loud silence. 

Ace told them. How Axel spent his time in his gym, punching the sandbag for hours.

His way of taking the frustration out.

Anya's heart wants more, she wants to hug him, cry her heart out, and hit him for pushing her away, for leaving her all alone when she was hurting just like him.

But the Axel today, was quite a different than before. He became more ruthless, and spoke less, nothing held him in place, because, his Anchor was gone…!

He was shattered to the point, where he is scared to come back; scared of loosing more.

But fate has other plans. His re entry is necessary for the much needed alterations in their life story; for righteousness.
