Terrified
My hands tremble as I reach for the golden door handle, the deep primal noises are getting louder, making my heart pound and my throat dry up.
I hold my breath, shaking slightly as I push the heavy wooden door open...
I feel a terrifying chill in the air as I struggle to make out my surroundings, the moonlight filters in from the window, but room is consumed by dark shadows.
Where am I?
Suddenly I see a beautiful woman laying on the ground with what looks like a hulking figure standing in-front of her, almost like it’s protecting her, I blink rapidly, watching in horror as my eyes adjust to the giant wolf standing over her.
I don’t know what to do,
How did I get here? As hard as I try to think about it, I can’t even remember who I am? I wander aimlessly through my mind, searching for memories, clues, something that can help me make sense, but my thoughts return blank.
Next to me is a broken mirror so I grab a large shard and cut the material of my dress to use it as a make do grip. I am ready to protect myself.
Uh oh, where did the wolf go? I scout around the room; the fear is gripping into me deeper than ever before. I can’t see him at all, it’s like he disappeared into the darkness.
Wait a minute... my eyes focus intently on the woman’s body.
Is that girl...
No way, she can’t be, that’s impossible, but is she even alive?
She looks so familiar, but I can’t put my finger on where I’ve seen her. I feel drawn to her, like I need to save her, to get the answers I’ve been searching for.
My heart pounds in my chest, and my legs are shaking as I slowly step forward, each step, heavier than the one prior.
Faster than I can process what happens, my body is thrown into the wall, the immense pressure on my shoulders is holding me firmly in place.
I can feel the sensation of warm breath on my head...
I glance up and see two glowing blue eyes staring deep into my soul, analyzing my features with absolute concentration. His gaze is intense, it makes me feel uncomfortable and important at the same time.
I then see the biggest and sharpest teeth I have ever snarling at me, they are inches away from my eyes; he looks at me like I am his prey, his meal…
I am so terrified I can not move, I stand here, frozen in time as I await my cold, cruel fate.
I’m actually about to die...
