Chapter 1

"Cressida is gone forever. It's been 2 weeks and no one has seen or heard about her," Paulina says to the two to us.

She speaks in disbelief but also pain. Although Cressida hurt and deceived her she was her role model and mentor for years.

"It's for our good. She has too many victims and made Metsungo a villain to too many nations. She even turned the river against us. Her damages are gonna last forever," Kgotso points out.

I for one want to find her. She has a lot to explain to me. A lot to share about me.

I pray every night that she's alive and that God helps me find her.

"Her damages will last only if we allow them to. The three of us together can undo it all," Paulina passionately motivates.

I won't consider us a trio. It's more like a duo and Paulina.

"The damages are too many and great. It will take three generations to undo them all," Kgosi points out.

People give more credit to evil than God. They are more concerned about the darkness that is lurking than The One that can take it away.

"First thing to fix. My sister who I never knew existed is finally meeting us. We were put apart for too long," Kgosi says.

"Metsungo rejoices. The second princess is coming home," Paulina celebrates.

Playing second in command and pretending I don't love Paulina is taxing. I need to go away to find Cressida, she might be the only one who can help me locate my birth parents.

But then again she might not so be credible

"Gift, are you okay? You're very quiet," Paulina calls me back to the conversation.

Paulina needs to teach me how to be oblivious around Kgosi that we're recent exes.

"I'm going to call Sandra again. Check on them once again," Kgosi says getting up from his chair

"Please pass on my greetings to the boys," Paulina requests as Kgosi leaves the room

I let out a tired huff.

"Gift. Let's put what we had behind us," Paulina asks me in a serous tone.

"Did we even have anything because it was too easy for you to let it go," I bite back.

"Not for my sake but yours. You're clearly still bothered," she points out

"Don't tell me how to handle heartbreak when your the one who caused it," I snap taking my leave.
