Prologue: The Saint’s Judgement
In the dim light of a candlelit room, the Baron's pleas echoed against the cold, stone walls. "Y-you crazy... D-devil's bitch! WHO ARE YOU?!!"
The dark figure, cloaked in shadows, stepped forward with a dagger shining in her left hand. The tone of her voice was cold and steady. "Me?... I am not sent by the evil but by the Saint itself. She believes you have committed enough wrongdoing in this lifetime. " Her steps became more fluid.
Desperation tinged his voice as he backed away. "What?! WAIT! HOLD ON! DO NOT COME ANY CLOSER!!! S-STAY AWAY!! I SAID STAY AW- "
The room fell silent.
Like a river of red, blood streamed on the wooden floor from the Baron's sliced throat. The assassin's gaze lingered on the icon on the nightstand- a symbol of Saint Seraphina's judgement. A calm voice echoed as she said.
"I completed my duty here."
