Great start

"The book opens well, with a great prologue and very good opening chapter that gives you a good setting and a nice introduction to the MC. Would recommend"

Teenager tempted by the devil. Read up to chapter 20.

"Caro's Descent is a pimply, virgin normal teenager tempted by the devil marked to lead his army through the gates of heaven. And a demon possesses him. Others surround him. The religious analogies and symbolism are interesting. The MC's falling for temptation (namely lust) and its unintended ramifications are explored in some parts. The fixation with sex seems appropriate for the character's age, gender, and lack of experience but often the dialogues discussing it were too crude for my liking. The prologue drew me in, but most scenes are drawn out, the narrative focuses a lot on certain issues repeatedly, and dwells on mundane matters (the training for one). While the church scene and interactions with his family were handled rather well, but they often meander and lack focus. My only feedback is the story needs a lot of editing, especially removing "fluff" and tightening the pacing, balancing showing and telling (and also choosing what to show and what to tell), and adding emotional depth to the MC. Ps. I hope the feedback I left in the comments helps. Please do consider how you retain the reader's interest in each chapter."
