It's got a modern Gothic, macabre, magical feel to it that makes the darkness feel elegant and swoon-worthy. I love the unique storyline, and the characters are interesting. The touch of humor is inserted at all the right points to balance the intensity, and I appreciate the author's attention to detail. The ending is great; it's closed with enough of a mystery to pull you in for the next book. "

"I was hooked and I mean HOOKED from the blurb of the book! I am ashamed to say this, but I was so enthralled to the point of almost ignoring my baby. Athena Starr put a lot of thought into the characters. I felt the range of emotions that both Matic and Viola felt, the betrayal, the lack of self belief etc Emotions that we have all felt at some point in our lives. All in all this book is for my supernatural world girlies and a fantastic read that is not cringe. Athena did a fantastic job! I am looking forward to reading more works from her. "
