Chapter 1 New Clinic
ur home and four other homes weren't enough for the bank to use collateral."Cindy they were. They just want us to default on the loan so they can obtain our thorough bred horses all twenty of them."
We kissed and entered our offices to review cases that we worked on at our former job. These patients chose to follow us. Plus, our public relations employee did well. We have many referrals that will bring in a lot of revenue.
"Dr. Ruiz (Cindy), your first patient is waiting for you in room 4." "Thank you. I will be there in a few minutes."
I left to go wash up and prepare for surgery. Some of our surgeries can be done in the clinic. Unfortunately, others cannot. I had my maroon scrubs on already. I see my beautiful wife coming out of her office wearing her green scrubs.
" You have surgery to do, too." " Yes, a nose job. What about you?" " Breast implants even though she doesn't need them. Her husband wants them bigger. It's way too big in my professional opinion. I informed her of the health risks." "Cindy, you stated the risks. It's her final decision even if it's the wrong one."
We were scrubbing our hands and arms. Our masks were already on. Our team members were waiting for us. We left and headed to do the planned surgeries. The nose surgery didn't take long. I knew Cindy's breast implant surgery would take longer. I scrubbed up again and was starting on butt implants on a mam who was very handsome but had a flat behind. He found the size he wanted during our consultation while I worked for Kaiser. When he found out, I was opening a new clinic with my wife and several other doctors besides our Arizona clinic that Nancy Lamb was the director of. He went with another insurance provider. I wasn't expecting that at all. When he contacted me and told me he switched coverage because he trusted me and didn't want another doctor to do it. I was thankful he trusted me. My costs would be higher, and he didn't mind. We hit it right off. He knows I am married to a woman and said it was his loss. The anthropologist has him knocked out. I am listening to Earth,Wind and Fire Greatest hits and Marvin Gayes, Aretha Franklin, and so many other excellent musicians.
" Julia, if you weren't married, would you have gone out with him?" " No, because I am his doctor. My wife asked me the same thing. I told her if he was having this done by another doctor and I wasn't married. I definitely would."
I had already removed one portion of his buttocks and the nurse was suctioning the area before I placed his new left buttock in. This didn't take long. I stitched his left side up and started on the right side. This man was built not with a six pack but no fat on his body. He was a little older than me and was a business owner of several businesses locally in Sacramento. He wore a beard that had a few specks of red which would eventually turn gray. As I operated on him. I imagined having coitus. This man was well endowed and would definitely be making me scream.
" Julia are you okay?"
" Yes, sorry and thank you for the other buttock implant."
I felt my cheeks turn red. I didn't hear her say my name. She probably was wondering what I was thinking about. I finally finished up and was done until after lunch. I washed up and changed into clean scrubs. My wife said she saw the man leave. She asked me how it went. I told her it went well. She said she said we should probably go before traffic gets bad. Cindy drove us Cattleman's. We both were craving their steaks. We knew we would have leftovers which we could kero in our mini refrigerators in our office. We finally arrived and exited Cindy's vehicle. Cindy locks the door and turns on the alarm. We make our way to the restaurant. We enter and decided to sit in the bar area for faster service. We review the menu and place put beverage and lunch order in. We are sipping on our water with lemon talking about this weekends New Year's Eve party in Lake Tahoe. We are going with several friends and family members. Our food arrives and we take a sip of our ice teas before we eat our salads, porter house steaks, bread, and baked potato. We ask our waiter if we can have two containers
and the bill. He says he would return shortly with our request. We cut half the porter steak and placed it away from the rest of the food in our plates. He returns with out bills. We both hand him cash and his tip. He thanks us and leaves. We place the the rest of the porterhouse steak and bread in each container. We finish our meal and leave to go back to work.
