Cry

Thats all that i could do as I looked at my mother lying motionless on the cold, white turning red, crisp snow. Dad had killed her as a punishment, I failed my mission and my mother payed the price.

My mission or “tasks” as dad called them, was to kill the principal of UA called Nezu. I hadn’t wanted to kill him because I believed that killing innocent people was wrong, but if I could go back i would do anything to save her.

I was great at what I do. Dad, with the help of some if his friends had trained me since birth to be a killer. I was taught everything about everything, had to learn all martial arts, many languages, and every other skill that I may need.

I had been doing tasks since i was 4 years old and am currently 14. Up until around a month ago I was only killing villians and people who committed serious crimes. So when dad told me that I would have to kill and innocent mouse man. I was scared.

“Why him? He didnt do anything wrong dad” I asked him this question once before already and 2 times was enough for him to snap.

“I DONT CARE CHILD! YOU WILL DO AS I SAY AND GET RID OF HIM!”

“yes father…” Dad has always had a very short temper so I learned to avoid talking to him in order to avoid the beating I would get for making him angry.

Mom was the only one who was ever able to calm him down. But when I failed to eliminate Nezu nothing could calm him and he wanted to show me how easy it was to kill an innocent.

As I sat next to my mothers body and cried all I could think about was Nezu. How I will kill him and avenge my mother. How it was his fault. And how I would make him suffer like I suffered.

I do realise that it wasnt his fault but he is the only one I can actually blame.

“Have you learned your lesson child?” Dads voice boomed, thought it wasnt really a question.

“Yes father” I wiped away my tears and got up to walk with my father back to the place i called home.

Using my quirk I made a blanket for my mother out of the red snow surrounding her. I was extra careful to make sure that dad didnt see because he didnt like weakness and “ getting upset over something that has already happened is worthless”.

We soon arrived at home, it was a simple apartment builing from the outside but from the inside, deep down in the basement is the headquarters where everything took place.

“Come here child.” I did as my father asked and came over to where he stood.

“I know about the snow blanket you made for your mother” he stated calmly while I froze at being found out. “ You know the consequence for crying and being overly emotional”

“ I apologize fathe-“ I was cut off as he sudenly yelled at me.

“ You know the consequences! Get on the fucking table before I give you a worse punishment! ” I had never seen dad so angry before, maybe he regretted killing my mother and this was just his sick way of dealing with his emotions.

Slowly but surely I got on the table before being strapped down and given a gag to muffle my screams.

Just as the first wave of excruciating electricity passed through my body I heard a sudden noise.

“DO NOT WORRY! BECAUSE I AM HERE” The voice was unnecessarily loud and the electricity had me sensitive to all noises at the moment.

As my fathers men started to fight the group of heros that had burst in I tried to make an escape. I quickly froze the straps holding my arms and legs down and yanked so hard they broke. As I got up my head started to hurt like i had been hit over the head with a pan over and over, bug i powered throgh the pain and pushed myself off the makeshift table. I had gotten only a couple metres before a pink gas started spreading around headquarters and everyone started falling asleep.

I tried running away but the gas made me dizzy and I got caught in what felt like a scarf material bug much more thick and durable, as i couldn’t break through it.

Soon I saw my dad being put in handcuffes as everything went black…
