Suspenseful
"Haunted Movie Matinee begins with a simple scene: Friends going out to watch a scary movie. Joseph, at first, comes off as an excited guy about this movie But later, as the hooded figures are revealed, he comes back to his senses. Wow, it had all the elements of a gripping thriller and it is proved that Author Geeta Kagra had poured her heart into this book. I love the way the author has shifted to the world of gripping thrillers. But being a thriller writer myself and researching with Agatha Christie, Holly Jackson and many other mystery and thriller writers, I can find few parts of the story that felt over-explained. Like the spine chilling parts and describing the paranoia of the characters multiple times makes the book feel over explained. Thrillers should drop subtle hints and add more dialogues. I would suggest the author to add suspenseful elements by describing the simplest things. For example-- Agatha Christe adds snappy sentences to build tension. Holly Jackson started her novel FIVE SURVIVE with a simple description that makes it thrilling. She started like HERE AND NOT. RED AND BLACK. ONE MOMENT HERE ANOTHER GONE. HER FACE IN THE GLASS. This really creates the environment for suspense. Well done, dear! I hope to see more improvement in the next chapters of your story. Good lucl"
