My Mafia Madness 7 (The Feelings of Betrayals)
"Alongside Alexa's recovery and going back to normal, the overwhelming feeling of constant betrayal from and towards Matteo never fails to keep the suspense at its peak. Having his mind clouded by his toxic goals, it's no wonder that Stephan and his team outsmarted him. Yet, he finally realised the purpose of the Russians' Mafia support, so going against them is such a pleasant surprise. I can't wait to see who will come as the victorious one between the two of them. On a happier side, at least the couple got a chance to get some savoury moments, much needed for us at least once in a while. And as a happy moment for me, Willow greeting Alexa with "my sexy b!tch" always makes my day when I think about it, no matter how monotonous I feel. There's no need to reiterate how much we all appreciate Dante (I've already done it so much in previous reviews), so I'll mention that Nicola's constant support shouldn't be underestimated. This giant, fearful man, who has a soft spot and the sweetest behaviour towards Alexa is just enough to melt my heart. Just when I was hoping that my favourite couple could catch a little break and peacefully enjoy their time together, while the other two enemies plot against each other, the damned Sasha reappears in the picture and destroys the romance that I can't get enough of. As I was thinking something like "at least they had that hot reconciliation that we all rooted for" at the mansion, when Alexa got her memory back, another plot must ruin it all. Sadly, I also miss a love scene that is two chapters long, especially after Dante prepared to surprise Alexa with a great night, so hopefully we'll have the chance to get a proper one. I don't know who I despise more between Sasha and Matteo, they're more malicious than all the other previous enemies combined. Close to the end, of course, Alexa couldn't be reasonable enough to listen to the explanation for this misunderstanding with the picture, but at least she announced before leaving the restaurant and the guys knew where she went. How dull and unexpected would it have been if she had sat down at the table, discussed it, and then they would've continued their lovely night? On one side, it's good that the misinterpretation was rapidly solved, but on the other side, more trouble certainly came in the way. Shortly, I can't wait to see what comes up next. The writing style and the thrilling action are so good, that any normal behaviour or usual simple solution wouldn't properly fit here. I'm so engrossed in the story, that I both hate and love each obstacle that comes along the way. Any of my comments is said in order to make a point that I'm captivated by the story and I have nothing negative to say about it. "
