Chapter 1
[ gay people and cringe tw BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO]
It was late, the night was open and quiet, minus the fact it had rained earlier and you could hear the occasional car drive by. Hitori and Kita were walking home after Hitori had given kita a guitar lesson. It was longer than usual, Hitori subconsciously just wanted to spend more time with Kita. After a while in a somewhat tense silence, Kita finally says something.
“I’m really happy you’ve been teaching me guitar! I love the lessons you give me, you’re such a good teacher, Hitori!”
Kita immediately jumps onto Hitori for a hug, while the praise and especially the word “love” coming out of Kita’s mouth re-play in her head constantly. Hitori just stands there, the whole situation having her speechless, her face a bright red.
Eventually, after Kita eagerly embraced the hug for just a little too long, she pulls back immediately, she doesn’t want the situation to get too awkward. Hitori flinches, she didn’t want that moment to end. Kita looks at the ground, she felt ashamed, but why? She didn’t know why.
Hitori felt she had done something wrong, as always.
“Ah.. Uhm.. I’m Sorry?”
Hitori apologized to break the awkward silence. This didn’t strike Kita well. Not at all.She looks up at her, her eyes glisten, like she was about to cry right then and there.
“Huh? What for? Did I do something wrong?”
Kita exclaims.
“Hm? N-no, it just got quiet and I thought I did something wrong so I apologized.”
Kita’s expression saddens after hearing her say that. Why did Hitori feel the need to apologize for everything. Why did hitori need to apologize for everything, to me? She thought.
“You don’t have to, apologize for everything, you know. “
Kita states sympathetically.
“Sorry.”
Hitori replies.
“Why do you always apologize.. to me?”
Kita asks as she grabs Hitori’s hands instinctively, rubbing her thumb back and forth across her knuckles. Hitori looked down at Kita’s hands intertwined with her own, the sight and feeling of it all making her stomach jump.
“I-I don’t know. I feel nervous around you.”
Hitori mutters. She immediately turns a deep crimson as she realized what she just said. Kita’s eyes widen. What could that mean? Kita thought.
“Y-you do? Why is that? D-do I.. intimidate you?”
Kita stammers. Hitori looks at her blankly. The whole thought of why she might feel nervous around Kita scares her. She doesn’t want to admit the truth to herself.
After a moment of just looking at eachother, it starts to rain again. A lot.
“Ah god, I need to get home!”
Hitori shouts as she starts to run off, but something stops her abruptly. It was Kita’s hand. Grabbing onto her arm, clinging onto her like her life depended on it.
“I don’t want you to catch a cold. You live far.”
Kita mumbles, she can’t bring herself to make eye contact with Hitori knowing the incredibly clingy action she’s currently pulling.
“Please, you can just come in to my home.”
Kita says, a pleading undertone in her voice.
She increases her grip on Hitori’s arm.
“N-no one’s home. If that helps.”
Kita whispers. Hitori’s head fills with scenarios. My god does that not help.
By this point the romantic tension is so strong between them to the point they’re ignoring the fact that they’re both soaking wet in the rain.
“Please?”
Kita asks, one last time.
