The streets of Seoul are bustling, one of the many things Yoongi remembered when he lived there. He rushes through the crowd of people, on his way to his new job. Cursing under his breath, he enters the doorway almost slamming against the receptionists desk.
"Hi, I am here for work." He manages to say without stuttering, and the receptionist gives him a nervous look. "I know, I am late. But please help me out."
"I'm sorry, sir. Our CEO has a strict rule about tardiness." She bows, reaching for the phone on her desk. "I will have to report you to the COO for your late—
"No! Please it is my first day, I promise this is the only time I will be late." Yoongi bites his lip, the pain in his soulder subsiding for a moment. His hair is a mess and theres dirt on his cheeks from his fall, but he doesn't deter. "Please."
She gives him one final long look before sighing and putting the phone back. He lets out a grateful sigh, shaking her hand before asking her where the nearest reastroom was. She motions to the left before he is speeding off to pull himself together.
After giving himself a few minutes to freshen up, he smiles at his reflection. Today he will finally thrive in the music industry, become the first producer to do something extravagant. Finally, he leaves the restroom and makes his way to the elevator to reach his studio.
"Hold the elevator!" A voice shouts and Yoongi puts a hand between the gap to stop it from closing, immediately regretting his decision when he sees the bane of his existence. The very man who made his heart violently palpate with the mere sight if him.
Their eyes meet and Yoongi swallows as the familiar male steps inside with that very arrogance that threw him off when they first met. But now they were strangers. With memories of course, buried deep down and out of reach. A place where Yoongi wishes he could never revisit in his wildest of dreams.
Just when Yoongi was about to greet him, like an old friend would, the elevator opens and he's gone again. Except they aren't old friends. Not even acquainted with one another. Once the elevator stops on his floor, he steps out and walks towards the studio where one of the shift managers is waiting for him.
"Min Yoongi-ssi, it is nice to finally meet you." The manager says once he enters the studio. He is handsome, his smile soft and his shoulders as wide as the ocean. His broad figure makes Yoongi flush and he holds a timid hand out towards the manager who takes it with confidence.
"Hello, I am excited to work here." Yoongi shakes his hand as he bows, his movements quick, opposed to his usual sluggish pace. "Your name..?"
"Ah, Kim Seokjin." The manager smiles, and it lights up the room. He gives a throaty laugh at Yoongi's admiring expression. "Close your mouth or a bug might fly into it."
The dry humor makes Yoongi let out a fake laugh, anything to get on the manager's good side. He hopes his first impression is great. It would make his work life a whole ton easier.
"May I ask what my first assignment is?" Yoongi speaks politely, his tone light as he gazes up at the manager. Just as the manager was about to tell him, he was cut off with a phone call. He motions to Yoongi to be quiet as he answers, the male nodding as he spoke with the person on the other side before he hung up.
"I was going to let you play around with the soundboard but the CEO wants to meet you in person." Seokjin says, and he looks almost apologetic. "Not to alarm you or anything, but this request is quite unusual. The CEO's office is on the very top floor, there is an assistant outside who will let you in."
"I'm sure it's nothing." Yoongi smiles gently despite the growing anxiety in his head. He sauntered towards the elevator, making his way to the top floor. The floor is empty, aside from the secretary's desk and a pot plant beside the door to his office.
"Min Yoongi?" He nods at her, and she presses a button on the phone. "Mr. Jung, he is ready to see you." The phone buzzes.
"Let him in." She stands up from her desk, walking over to the office door before opening it. Yoongi bows to her, entering the office with nervous steps.
"Sir, you wanted to see me?" Yoongi says, and the chair spins around, giving him a view of the man who evades his every waking thought. He blinks. "Hoseok—
"Did I say you can speak?" Hoseok's cold voice rendered him silent, causing him to purse his lips. "What gives you the thought that you are worthy of working here? Under my company?"
"I-I passed all the interviews, I managed to—
"Not good enough, I will take this as a sign for your resignation. Please leave my office." Hoseok says coldly, and Yoongi stutters in his step. The pain in his shoulder that subsided slowly began to creep back up, and his head is pounding with a headache.
"No, I signed a contract." Yoongi manages to say, and Hoseok scoffs under his breath. "You can't make me resign. It is my dream to produce music—
"I don't think that is my problem, Min." Hoseok spits, and he stands up from his chair to approach the producer. Yoongi bows his head, not willing to meet the CEO's taunting gaze. "Leave now."
"N-no! I will stay." Yoongi says, his fists clenching at his sides. His shoulder throbs, and his eyes prickle. "You cannot fire me without a good explanation before a six month period! I will take you to court for unfair dismissal."
"Fine, I will make you quit." Hoseok sneers, shoving into Yoongi harshly as he walks towards his office door. He opens it, inviting his secretary inside. "Secretary Kim, please show Mr. Min the studio of archived songs.", "Min, you can sort through the records and list them all in alphabetical order. You will not leave until it is done."
The secretary bows and takes Yoongi away. Once he was out of sight he let out a shuddery breath, rubbing his shoulder where he was shoved and he bites back a pained howl. Endure it, endure it, endure it. He repeated in his mind as she escorted him.
She pushes open a door, coughing as dust flies everywhere. Secretary Kim gives him a pitiful smile, turning on her heel to leave. He grimaces before rolling up his sleeves to begin.

Seven hours go by and Yoongi still hasn't gotten past half of the list. He yawns and looks at his watch, his stomach growling as he stretches. The door creaks open and he snaps his gaze back to the intruder, softening when he sees his shift manager.
"I figured you were hungry." Seokjin places a bag of food on the ground near Yoongi. He sits down and grabs a box, tearing it open as Yoongi takes a minute to compose himself. "Eat up, I will help you."
"I can't let you do that." Yoongi says, but Seokjin insists as he pushes him back when he tries to help. Yoongi gives in to his hunger, finally letting himself eat before the door is opened again. Hoseok looks furious when his eyes land on both Seokjin and Yoongi, before he is glaring down at Yoongi.
"Slacking off while someone else does your hard work? Typical." Hoseok snarls, and Seokjin is shocked at his behaviour. The CEO was usually calm and forgiving. "Seokjin-hyung, leave him alone."
"But I—
"It's okay, Seokjin-ssi. I'm not even tired." Yoongi gives him a curt smile, and the older one looks conflicted. "I will finish up soon, I promise."
"Make sure you finish your food, Hoseok-ah may I have a word with you?" Seokjin asks, and the two walk out. Yoongi can hear some muttering voices, and he tries to block out the sound before Hoseok opens the door again.
"Go home."
"No." Yoongi replies stubbornly, still sorting through the files. Hoseok attempts to grab his wrist but Yoongi yanks his arm away. "I will finish this task, and I will do it without help."
"Suit yourself." Hoseok says, nonchalance laced in his tone before he is walking out with a slam of the door. Yoongi flinches lightly, but he continues working nonetheless.

🌟College days🌟
"Pick up the broom and clean!" Hoseok sneers as he dists the black board. Yoongi yawns as he does what he is told, except he smacks the broom on the floor where the chalk dust was. The dust flies everywhere and Hoseok pauses in his movements before he is turning slowly, a death glare settled on his features. "You are so dead, Min."
Yoongi cackles as he sprints out of the lecture hall, taking off down the corridors with Hoseok in tow. The chase was always thrilling, and Yoongi loved the feeling of freedom that came along with it. Hoseok was always free. Like the wind, one might say. Being pent up in a classroom for detention was boring and Yoongi thinks he loved the thrill.
Loved every second.
