Out to sea
The cruise ship was moving slowly through the waves of the sea.
A thick fog was covering everything.
Anisia was at the rear part of the ship, resting her hands on the railing. She leaned forward to watch the sea but could not see it, only the waves could be heard.
"I cannot see anything, just this murky, white smoke", Anisia was thinking.
She wanted to see the blue sky again and the twinkling light of the stars at night, but she was not been able to do that for some time, since the fog came. It was lingering for some weeks, but for Anisia it seemed much longer.
Only the lighthouse could be seen, even through the deep fog. It was a little blurry, but its light was always shining through.
She stepped inside the ship, from the deck, to go and eat lunch. She sat at a table with other people.
Inside the ship there were a lot of people having fun, talking, dancing, playing all sorts of games.
"You were staring again in the fog, Anisia", said one of the people from the table.
"Yes. The fog is very dense today. It seems like it's evening outside, even if it is the middle of the day", said Anisia.
"Don't worry. Just ignore it. It will go away eventually. You will see", said one of the person near her.
"But it's like this for weeks now", Anisia complained.
"Just don't go outside. Here is all full of light and fun. Why would you even want to step on the deck? Stay here and have no worries", said another person.
Anisia wished she could just ignore the fog and stay inside but she could not. She felt drawn by it irresistibly.
