"When I first started reading this I thought wow, this is pretty grim. Where can the author take this character? And just how fat and ugly is she supposed to be? Then shit gets wild. One day she's despondent and hopeless, the next she's just met the world's tallest Green Man (if you know, you know) who has bells in his antlers and yellow pupils. And who saves her. Brilliant! Imagine my dismay when I find out the rest of the book is somewhere in Galatea - damned if I can find it - and I'm left with another unresolved cliffhanger.AGAIN! Honey, you better get that book up on Galatea, or post the rest of it on Inkitt, fast! Don't leave me hanging like this! On a more measured note, if I could ask the author to change anything it would be to describe her protagonist in greater detail. Yes, we know she's been overweight her whole life. We know she's considered unattractive. But, what color are her eyes? If her hair were clean, what color would it be? Now that famine is a fact of life for humans, is she still morbidly obese? Has she lost any weight? Is she considered fat simply in relation to other, emaciated people? And why Ava the Boar, instead of Ava the Pig? She looks more like a boar? You mean she's got a disproportionately large head with tusks like an orc? Inquiring minds want to know!"

"I was positively surprised by the way this author writes. I have read other fantasy stories where I thought it wasn't worth my time. This is a good mix of sci-fi, fantasy and love and I was captivated the whole way through. The way the author describes the events in a way that they are in the present but also those in the past is really good. Looking forward to reading more from this author."
