Chapter 1:Tears at Night
Sarah, an eleven-year-old girl, was a constant fixture in her family's shadow. Her older sister, Anya, was the golden child, excelling in academics and extracurricular activities. Sarah, on the other hand, was often overshadowed, her efforts deemed insignificant.
At home, the atmosphere was tense. Sarah's parents, consumed by their own expectations and pressures, often vented their frustrations on her. Their harsh words and constant comparisons cut deep, leaving her feeling small and insignificant. Every night, as she lay in bed, tears silently streamed down her face.
One evening, after another particularly difficult day at school, Sarah retreated to her room, closing the door behind her. She curled up on her bed, her small body trembling with sobs. The weight of her parents' disapproval was crushing, and she felt a deep sense of loneliness and isolation.
As she lay there, her mind raced with thoughts of inadequacy. She wondered why she couldn't be more like Anya, why she couldn't meet her parents' expectations. She felt like a failure, a burden to her family.
The tears continued to flow, and Sarah's sobs echoed through the silent house. She felt a guilt for letting her parents down, for not being the perfect daughter they wanted her to be.
As the hours passed, Sarah's tears began to subside. Exhausted and emotionally drained, she fell asleep, her mind still filled with worry and sadness.
