Origin story starting off with a bang!
"What a way to open a book! These first few chapters really pull an emotional reaction out of the reader and leave you wanting more and more! The story flows from one scene to the next really well and paints an excellent picture of what is going on around the character so you can easily picture it in your head. I know another reviewer had mentioned the scene of not knowing how to get rid of a vampire, and I actually loved that. It lightened a stressful scene just enough and gave the character realness. Overall I have really enjoyed this story and cannot wait for more! "
Can't wait for the next chapter
"I'm not a sci-fi reader but was immediately wrapped up in this story! The fast pace of the first two chapters kept me enthralled. My mind hopped into the mind of the father right away and I could feel his angst and fear. The visuals (in my head) flowed smoothly from one scene to the next. I'm really looking forward to the next chapter. Well written cliff hanger! To the author: you're not allowed to take a vacation until this book is done .... lol."

Fast paced first chapter that sets the stage
"As an avid fantasy reader, it is hard to find a tale that does not play off of an already written story. In reading the description of Jessica Forever, I am pleased to discover a twist that I have not read before. In this first chapter, the author has set a descriptive stage to invoke the feelings of desperation and trauma. I enjoyed the take on the ignorance of how to kill a vampire (I feel we all know how to merc a vamp). The chapter felt fast paced but it makes sense as an origin story to set the scene for Jessica's adventure. Looking forward to reading more!"
