The characters are well formed and their personalities jump out at you. You will get a couple of tears and laugh out loud at the great adventures these guys have to weave their way through. Great potential. Dark, Hellish, with a fantasy twist.
"My review is based on reading parts 1–4. I think J.L. Sitter has crafted something wonderfully dark and intriguing, definitely my cup of tea, as we say here in good old England. While reading, I often found myself reminded of movies like Hostel, Evil Dead, and Army of Darkness, as well as literary works such as Stephen King's The Gunslinger and David Gemmell's Jon Shannow series all masterpieces I greatly admire and appreciate. The tone of the story shifts quite dramatically at times, perhaps a little too quickly. Whether this is intentional or not, I’m not sure. For example, the feel of the first chapter leans more towards Hellraiser, while the second half takes on a vibe closer to Army of Darkness. That said, it’s clear J.L. Sitter has no shortage of ideas, characters, or creativity when it comes to world-building. However, I feel that the first part and second part of the story are packed with too much content, almost as if several chapters are squeezed into one. I feel like these could benefit from being explored in greater depth and broken up into more chapters. I also found myself wanting to know more about Leroy’s motivations in the second half, what’s driving him? What’s his plan or ultimate goal? A little tidying up of the grammar would also help the flow of the story, but overall, this is a sickly twisted horror-fantasy that has me intrigued. Great work!"
