Jerry the pencil
Name: Lenn Date: Somewhere in October
It was a cold, stormy night—I'm just kidding. It was a bright, sunny day (but still cold outside), with leaves falling from the trees as it turned October. Our main focus here is a boy named Lennox. As he was in the middle of his third-hour class.
I'm drawing with the pencil I was given, which had a green eraser. It's the only pencil I have. I looked away for what felt like only seconds, and as I turned to write some of the lesson down, my pencil had vanished. I looked around my desk, flipping through papers and lifting books, but there was no pencil to be found.
At this point, I started to panic and had to think fast knowing I would get behind in the lesson if I didn't. As I look around I feel the eyes around me, staring at me. I hadn't realized that I had been tapping my foot the whole time, people began to stare. Eyes after eye looking back at me I began to get teary eyes covering my face with my hands wishing I could be anywhere but here and vanish along with my pencil. I hear the voices again, and as they speak in tongues I can't understand. I fall out of my seat and look beside me my pencil is sitting there to the right.
I jolt up, looking around, seeing I'm at my desk but still in the same class. I look around and sigh, realizing it was just a daydream. Ready to write down the lesson, I look for my pencil, only to see it isn't on my desk. I look under my desk, but it's not there, I look over to my bag and see my pencil in the side pocket. I sigh relieved looking up to start the lesson, and then the bell rings and I realize I have missed the whole class. I feel A sharp pain in my hand and look down, “Oh no Jerry” I say looking at the crime scene of the dead (Just broken) pencil in my hands. I collapsed to the ground and cried over my best friend Jarry's death that I had caused- Just kidding again I just threw the pencil away, and went to my next class.
Name: Lenn Date: Somewhere at the end of October
As I sat in my bed (Attempting to sleep) I began to hear It again, the voices speaking in tongues, right behind me getting louder by the second…
I had learned absolutely nothing from this and wish not to speak of this traumatizing event again. Thank you.
Sincerely
-The guy who lost his pencil-
