Whispers of the Heart [poetry]

Summary

Love me not for my looks, But love me for my flaws. For looks may bring pain, With a heart so fragile as mine where pain is not welcomed. An ugly body may grasp a holy soul. So love me not for my looks, But love me for my faults and insecurities. Love me not for my skills, But love me for my actions and inactions. For those who hope for uprightness never get their cups full to the brim. So love me not for my looks, But love me because you feel sorry.

Yes, You are Enough

You, I and nobody else.

At that night, I felt nothing but less.

With so much thought running through my head,

I felt there was no future ahead.

I sat behind the balcony gazing at a star,

With no hope of winning an Oscar.

When you appeared in my life, all became brand new,

And the trumpet of success instantly blew.

Nothing in this life will I ever ask for,

Than a friend in my life who would be present more.

Wiped my tears and said to me it was

gold.

Until death do us apart when we are old.

I like this, no I like that. We argue all day,

But at the end, we still stay.

I am here for you.

Today, tomorrow and forever, I give to you.

Thank you for the love you give.

A friend indeed, I promise never to leave.
