What is your opinion?

nice

"Nice opening, nice pacing and while I picked up a couple of small spelling mistakes, they didn't detract from the reading. Think I'll have to give the story a follow and see where it goes. I really enjoyed the character voices, nothing felt forced or contrived, but natural. I think the author has a good ear for dialogue."

Well-Crafted Sci-Fi

"This is a fantastic opening: the style is most impressive, since it sounds like polished, edited, published writing. In fact, something about the style and the verve of the writing reminds me of Rainbow Rowell (author of Eleanor and Park, etc.), which I mean as a great compliment. Like her, the author is able to capture the real sounds and rhythms of life and make us aware of them. This might be a science fiction/romance, but you don't even realize it--its subtle and believable. The dialogue crackles with life, and the story moves at a breakneck pace--the opposite of rush hour in San Francisco. I love when authors can make the mundane, work-a-day world seem fantastic, and she does this brilliantly: this is a story to fall in love with and to read more and more of. The chapters fly by and I really hope she learns to finish stories so we get more of this one."
