DECEMBER

Dark by 8PM was when I set out on my little plane. Determined to land on the other side of my world, where the unknown would be only what I knew. Disillusioned, I thought to drown the bad few by more of new.

Encouraged by my unwavering resolution, I soon made it very high up the sky. Eager clouds started laughing at me as soon as I met them and I looked around realizing all this time I was on a mere paper plane!

Concurrent rain with high winds drenched me very soon but I chosed to close my eyes and ears and fluttered as hard as I could. The only Consolation was hoping that the sun beyond all this would dry me up for the remainder of the journey.

Epiphanies from what I could visualize when I flew past the rude clouds and crossed the atmosphere, seeded a satisfaction in me that I’ve come far from all the judgy eyes down below. Everything that I ever wanted was there for my taking and only my Engorging appetite remained.

Like a Membrane encasing the Earth, a yellow halo illuminated by the sun Mimicked the blissful sunrise which I saw at a hill station 5 years back. And soon enough, Memories cascaded one after another after that. The deafening silence all around me also Multiplied a sense of dread, one which I had since I was a child.

Breathing heavily still made me feel breathless and my eyes started getting moist. The Brewing inferiority complex made me long what I had, however Bad it was.

Who would knew, sometimes new meant Empty as well? That sometimes self-motivation can make us rush on vital checks? That pride can make you select paper for a plane? Embellishment of a dying Ember is pointless.

I then succumbed to the Rationale of my fear and decided to Return back- back where I was. Restarting the thought of Redundancy, again.
