The cheerleading competition
It was the day of the cheerleading competition, and Reinhá was sitting in her room getting ready as she would have any other competition, but what she didn't know was that this competition might just be her last. Downstairs Darci Reinhá's mother was preparing breakfast for her family as she moved graciously across her kitchen to pick up the plates of delicious food such as chocolate chip pancakes and fried egg on toast with freshly cooked Cumberland sausages. Alister Reinhà's father was in the upstairs bathroom, washing his face and shaving his beard to look extra sharp for his little princesses' big day. As they all made their way to the dining room table, a sense of worry appeared on Darci's face for a second she even looked scared. Reihná looked at her mothers face and could see she was anxious about something, so she didn't alert her father Reihná quietly asked her mother if she was ok her mither replied "oh dear darling dont worry about me on your big day theres no need to worry i shall be perfectly fine" Reihná could tell her mother was lying but she couldn't understand why. She sat down at the dining room table and sighed. "Oh mother, why can't i just be like all the other girls in my school?" Her mother looked at her and replied,"i know you hate moving around so much, but we depend on your fathers job, and if that means moving around a lot, then so be it" Reihná didnt reply to her mother after that she just looked down and started eating. As all of this commotion was going on, her father was just sitting there, not knowing whether or not he should say something or stay quiet he chose to stay quiet so he didn't start an argument.After breakfast Reihná went to her next door neighbours house to get her best friend Lyla. Lyla's and her parents had lived in this town their whole lives, so it was good for Reihná to be with someone who knew where everything was. As they both set off for the bus Reihná told Lyla about her and her mothers conversation, Lyla also thought it was strange how her mother was acting. As they got on their school bus, they started talking about the cheerleading competition Reihná said, "My abuelá is coming from Barcelona to watch the competition," Lyla replied saying "omg thats so good i cant wait to meet her you always talk about how nice she is and about her storys".
