Chapter 1
Chike and Moses have been good friends many years ago. They were born in the town, so, none of them spoke their native language. Their parents did not teach them the language, and they, too, did not care to learn it until they were big. Although they used to hear it when spoken, they could not speak it at all. So for that reason, both Chike and Moses usually communicate in English whenever they are talking to each other. However, the two friends were so stubborn because they didn't usually listen to their parents whenever they were talking to them. They were full cigarette smokers. They had a particular area where they used to gather whenever they wanted to smoke with their other guys. They usually smoked and talked a lot when they gathered, as none of them had a job.
One day, when the matter had gained momentum, Chike's mother told Chike to invite his friend, Moses, to her place because she had a very important message for them. That day, when Chike had invited his friend, his mother told them to listen to what she was about to tell them. She did not speak to them amicably because according to her, that was not the first time she had told them about the issue of smoking. She told them to stop smoking, and that it usually made someone to do what they did not expect.
In addition, she told them to remember the wise saying that what is coming does not beat a drum. She told them to stop it that it didn't help, and that she didn't like it at all. She went on and on.
One day, after some days, Chike and Moses decided to leave their hometown. They had decided to travel because according to them, it was a disturbance as their parents were always telling them to stop smoking. So for this reason, they finally left their father's place so that nobody could ever disturb them to quit smoking.
