Summary

Isaias y Merlina están de vuelta en la escuela y todo apunta a que este será un año normal, ya que la maestra Arachne ya no da señales de estar cerca otra vez. Sin embargo Merlina e Isaias empezarán a recibir advertencias a través de sueños, acerca de un nuevo enemigo que podría estar muy cerca, con un deseo de venganza vigente desde hace generaciones.

Prólogo

En una casa antigua y abandonada, donde el tiempo parecía haberse detenido, se escondía un sótano que desafiaba la lógica. Mientras el resto de la casa estaba cubierta de polvo y telarañas, el sótano parecía haber sido preservado, como si el abandono no hubiera llegado hasta allí.


Las paredes estaban cubiertas de mapas antiguos, amarillentos por el paso del tiempo, y libros encuadernados en cuero, que parecían contener secretos olvidados. Los cuadros de los antepasados de alguien desconocido colgaban de las paredes, todos con el mismo estilo y la misma vestimenta peculiar, como si hubieran sido pintados por el mismo artista.


La atmósfera era pesada, cargada de misterio y oscuridad. Parecía que el sótano estaba esperando a alguien, o algo.


De repente, un hombre entró en el sótano, su figura se recortaba contra la luz tenue que se filtraba por las ventanas. Se movió con sigilo, como si no quisiera perturbar el silencio.


Se detuvo frente a uno de los mapas, su mirada se fijó en un punto específico, y con un movimiento deliberado, clavó un clavo en el papel amarillento. El sonido del clavo resonó en el sótano, como un eco en una caverna.


El hombre se enderezó, su mirada se elevó hacia los cuadros de los antepasados, y por un momento, pareció que estaba buscando algo, o a alguien. Luego, se dio la vuelta y desapareció en la oscuridad, dejando atrás un sótano que parecía estar esperando algo, o a alguien...
