Fixed fates
Lifting my camera, fixing the lenses, and… boom. I open my files and look at the picture of the local pet raccoon named Elvis on the northwest side of Ashau City, I sigh as I walk over and lean down petting Elvis. Walking home it begins to sprinkle. I stop lifting my hand, feeling the light rain on the tips of my fingers as I begin to walk again. It starts pouring rain and I stand there ‘Well I should have expected this’ I think to myself. Walking into my apartment I yell “Mom I'm home!” I slip off my shoes and walk into the bathroom putting my camera on the counter grabbing a towel and drying off my hair seeing my mom walk in from the corner of the mirror “Lean! I told you to be home an hour ago” I sigh “I got distracted” I say putting the towel in the laundry basket and grabbing my camera while walking past her. “You still have that?” I hear her sigh behind me I close the door to my bedroom seeing that my parents have gone through my things again I start to pick up some papers from the floor and hang them up on my ceiling. I sigh looking at my calendar beside my door, ‘Wednesday, April 23rd the local fair’ I lighten up knowing artists from all over Ashau City will be there Painters, sculptors, and even other photographers. I lay down on my bed closing my eyes while drifting off to one of my favorite places. My dreams.
