I’m only the first chapter in so can’t rate the plot yet as I don’t know it

"I haven’t got very far but it’s definitely intriguing to me. I mean why are the babies there. Who abandoned them? Why is a shark taking them deeper into the infirmary? I had to reread to work out if the shark or the mermaid was holding the stone. On first read u though the Met was hallucinating "
